Has anyone done this? I just booked it, but want to know more about it while I have time to change my mind if it's not something I think I'll like.

Where do you view the fireworks from? Is the music piped in? Since it starts at 8, that means it doesn't include Holiday Wishes viewing. Any recommendations on where to view Holiday Wishes and then move to this party?

It looks like a solid selection of food. Any particularly good food or drinks you can recommend? Is it a buffet that's open all night?

What's seating like? I may be attending alone, which I don't mind, as I assume people will be open to socializing. But there will be times I'm sure I'll want to sit down after dancing and such. Please let me know if I'm wrong about socializing, too.

And for anyone who did Yacht and Beach Club's NYE Countdown to Midnight, is that one better?? I'm wondering if you could see fireworks from BOTH Hollywood Studios and Epcot from over there instead of just the Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary. Then again, I've also seen some of the Epcot fireworks from the Contemporary too... So much to think about! For the price, I want to get as much out of this as possible, and I absolutely LOVE fireworks. I won't miss them a single night that I'm at WDW.

I also think I may be a bit confused about whether this is being offered at both the Contemporary and Yacht and Beach. It looks like they did it at Y & B last year, but I'm not sure if they are offering both this year. I can't find anything about Y & B this year, so maybe they've moved it to this year.. Sorry for all the questions.

And pretty much anything else you can tell me. Pictures would be awesome :) Thanks in advance!

I looked into NYE events in DW and a couple of articles said this is a new event in the Convention Center at the Contemporary this year.

Hmm.. that makes it difficult. It's not cheap, so I would have liked to know more. I did find one (lol) review of the Yacht and Beach one that the reviewer enjoyed, but I'm especially curious about the fireworks. Maybe I'll try to call the Contemporary directly. I'd still love to here some experiences if anyone is out there

I think I read that you view them from the outside front entrance of the convention hall. I don't know if you could get into the California Grill bar. We had originally booked this but canceled after deciding to spend NYE at Epcot and having an early dinner at Monsieur Paul. I think Pete from Dreams Unlimited and the podcasts said he was going to do this new event.

California Grill has a whole separate event that costs something like $625 per person, but it appears to be sold out, so it's not really an option. Not that I'd be ready to drop that kind of money for a few hours, but that area won't be open to people not attending that specific event :(

*sigh* I'm starting to not want to be a guinea pig if there's no information out there. Kind of expensive to be experimented on

bump. I just booked. Anybody have addl info?

At the stroke of Midnight at Disney resorts your room rate increases to 2017 prices!:duck:Sorry, I hope everyone enjoys the NYE experience at WDW :earsboy:

Very funny. Actually I thinks its 2019 prices 2017 they did 6 months ago. :jester:

We booked this back in July when the info first came out. I always find that Disney does any thing for the first time it's usually pretty good and next year if they do this one again it will twice the price.
I love the fact that they will bring us back to our resort after the event.
