It really depends on exactly when you've gone on "Countdown to Extinction" as to what ride you've experienced. I was there a year ago and it was incredibly slow ... crawled along almost like the "Pooh" ride. More recently, however, it has been speeded up considerably. Frankly, when it originally opened it was uncomfortably jerky ... MUCH worse than the way Indy is programmed. I find the current speed and movements much more enjoyable.
As has been mentioned elsewhere, what it really needs is a musical soundtrack like Indy.
