Wow - what a turn of events! Congrats on the girls making the team!! They will have fun - and travel soccer will keep you guys on the go!

I know you guys really enjoy AKV so I'm glad you were able to get there. I don't know what Jambo, Kidani, and Mara are - but we are going to venture over there this summer and check it all out!!

So, where are your new ADRs?? Do tell...

Started working on ADR's last night - ugh...I really don't know which park we will be in certain nights, so I am avoiding ADR's. We don't have any MUST-HAVES - except maybe Sci - fi for the kiddos, and it isn't hard to get.

I am pretty sure you did. The Union is a new team. This is maybe the second or third year. We have an amazing stadium!

The coaches for our local club ( the one the girls play for) are all from Europe. Soccer is pretty new to the U.S. It still isn't "the sport" like it is in Europe...

Oh my goodness, cancelled all your adr's?!?!? What's the new plans then?

Jambo is the original AKL building. Kidani is the DVC property (different building). Mara is the counterservice in Jambo. Kidani does not have a counter service - which is the biggest complaint about Kidani.

I am taking a school break. We have an inservice day tomorrow and I "enthusiatically" agreed to teach one of the "Best Practices" session.

It would be fine, but it is a one hour session. Really? No teacher is going to want to be in my class for one hour! (and I have to do it three times!)

So I called Member Services today

We are staying at Jambo for four nights and moving over to a BLT lake view for two nights. ​

I do have the waitlist for the entire stay at BLT- this makes DH and I nervous though. We don't love BLT, but need to try it to see if we like it. Committing a whole stay there is a bit worrisome for us. I think all of you are going to either get dizzy or annoyed with my frequent resort updates! I do think I am good to keep this spilt stay. Maybe I won't call member services again until June

Haha! You can't be as bad as me! I've had 4 resort rooms booked at Vero Beach for in June and our post VB has been changed from CBR, to POR, to WL, now Poly haha. If I could get YC/BC I'd change it in a heart beat again! I'm in the same boat it seems

That's great that you got a few nights at BLT. We're staying at BLT for our trip. I think we'll probably eventually buy DVC and I want to figure out which home resort we'd want. So far it's between BCV and BLT but we haven't stayed BLT yet (we have stayed at the Contemporary).
We are having dinner at Jiko so hopefully my DH will like AKL and we can stay there at some point. We'd have to stay in a villa because we're a family of 5.

I love all your resort changes/updates...I'm going to live vicariously thru you considering I know we're not changing ours at all Walking distance to the MK just seems heavenly to me....that's the biggest draw of BLT for us!

Second, glad you were able to switch to AKL, and I think you will like being within walking distance to MK at BLT. How did your dining reservations go?

I love split stays! We have done them the last several years. It is a pain to unpack/repack but other than that it is so fun to try different resorts. This is the first year we are staying 2 weeks at the same place, not sure how that will be.....

I think I would have even more of a dilemma if we weren't DVC! At least with DVC the availabilty dictates my stay. (See most people complain about that with DVC. heehee.)

We did the BLT tour and aside from the location, we weren't excited by it. We own at BCV and SSR. It doesn't matter, though, because I can never book before a couple of months out anyway. We bought a resale contract for BCV because before I fell for Disney, I always wanted a beach place. Now, I have one at Disney!

I haven't minded the moving. We live out of suitcases anyway except for toiletries. I am not sure how I would feel about 2 weeks, one place. On one hand, it would be great to unwind and move it. On the other, I think I would worry about not trying another resort. Maybe after we've tried them all.

Sunday report- Tidal Waves won 2-1 in their last reg season game - playoffs the first weekend of June. No goals from my girls- not from lack fo effort, though. I think Hannah shot it three times just to the right of the post...

Friday, I did an Inservice presentation for our teachers. They were small break out groups who got to choose which presentations to go to. I was able to play background OKW music for my Friday Disney with the staff being none-the-wiser!

I did a bit of Disney trip shopping...

I usually carry my yellowbird Vera Bradley small backpack in the parks. I am able to fit my Canon with an extra lense along with phone, wallet, light sweater, etc. Although the size is okay, it is bothersome that all of the items are in one compartment.

I looked online for a camera bag and found a great hybrid! The deal on Amazon was awesome. I couldn't decide between the larger one (it has a slot for my laptop- perfect for the plane) or the smaller one- no laptop slot. I ordered both and will either send one back or keep both since they were quite cheap!

I need to figure out where to fit in Sci Fi, Garden Grill, 1900 Park Fare and one more table service...any favorites out there?

I would go with the larger bag especially as it can hold your laptop as well.

What a great new bag!
Garden Grill was a big hit with my kids last year and has become a must-do. We like Teppan Edo. My DH is a huge fan of Biergarten (which is funny to me since he doesn't eat pork!).
I love Kona Cafe which would be an easy monorail from BLT. If you're willing to splurge both California Grill and Narcoosee's are lovely (and I've taken my kids both places and they enjoyed it, too).

Have you tried the Wave at the Contemporary? We ate there 2 years ago and loved it. I also really liked Kona Cafe for lunch at the Poly - we were able to do a walk up last summer.
