Countdown App? MDE?

I'm looking for an app for my iPhone (or droid) that will count down to my trip with big numbers. I'd prefer something I don't have to open to see the number, or heck, something that makes my wall paper the count. Does anyone know of anything? Maybe MDE has something like that built in?

The MDE website has a countdown after you log on, but nothing in the MDE app. For the iPhone, you would need to use a 3rd party app.

That's largely a problem with iOS. All the other major mobile operating systems have a glance feature without opening the app (Android=widgets, Windows Phone=Live tiles). I'm not meaning to start an OS fight here, iOS is a nice operating system, I'm simply pointing out something iOS does not support to my knowledge. Here's an option, but it's going to require you open the app.

As for Android, kbonner's idea of using a generic countdown app should be sufficient. Since it's a widget, it will show the remaining countdown without opening it.

For WP, Disney Trip Companion has a countdown feature which displays on the home screen. This is perhaps a more full featured app then you're looking for. It allows you to input your plans for each day, add reservations, attractions you want to visit, etc (not required for countdown).
