Dinner first night the amazing Whispering Canyon Cafe ~ succulent roasted chicken, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, cornbread & mashed potatoes. It was sooo good, I can almost taste it... ;)

Day three: Ohana ~ I have yet to bask in the warmth that is Ohana, but I am eagerly awaiting this day... :)

Day four: Via Napoli ~ Margarita pizza, fresh basil, tomato and mozzarella,, maybe a scrumptious glass of sangria..... ohhh,, and I can't forget the desert,, Zeppole Di Catarina, ricotta cheese fritters, served with whipped cream, and chocolate sauce.... OH my! :worship:

Day five: Lunch at Le Cellier Steakhouse ~ this is another first for us and I'm sooooooooooooooooo looking forward to the cheddar cheese soup and bread sticks.. I sure hope they live up to the hype.... I'm thinking maybe a New York strip steak.... and maybe some maple creme brulee for dessert???

THEN, that night we have reservations to the Tommoroland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party, :wizard: another first for us... But we love dessert! :thumbsup2

Day six: Kona Cafe, our last new dining adventure... I'm thinking a steak here too... Not sure yet on the dessets??? Any advice?

Day seven: Yak & Yeti Restaurant, I saved this one for last,,, because it was my absolute FaVoRiTe last time,,, the Shaoxing steak and shrimp,,,, my mouth starts watering just thinking about it... and the waitress literally twisted my arm for me to try it.... I was sooo glad I did,,,, and who, who, who could forget the cream cheese won tons for dessert.... :cheer2:

I am soooo excited, soooo looking forward to Disney in February, and our week at the world. But I'm equally looking forward to some amazing food... :flower3:

You have some of my favs lined up. I, too, get excited about my ADRs. Have a great trip!

So how bout it peeps.... Any suggestions for Le Cellier for lunch, and Kona Cafe for dinner?

We went to Kona last year based on all the glowing reports on the Dis. It was fine, but it wasn't memorable. I had the Coconut Almond Chicken; a good choice in hot weather but I'm not sure I'd pick it at this time of year. I believe I had the pineapple upside down cake for dessert and IIRC it was a little dry. I flat out cannot remember what DH had. I *think* it was a fish entree (mahi mahi? Don't see it on the current menu) and a torte of some kind for dessert.

I'm glad we tried it but I won't go out of my way to go back. So many restaurants, so little time!

We LOVE Le Cellier for lunch and make it a must do everytime we are there. DH and I always get the Cheddar Cheese Soup with bread sticks (my personal favorite is the pretzel bread ) then we have the mushroom filet with risotto, and for dessert I always get the Chocolate "Moose" Dessert while DH endulge in one of the fine beers that they serve. My oldest DD is so excited about our upcoming trip because since she is 10 now, this will be the first time she can order off the adult menu....she loves adult food (she is an adventurous eater), especially steak so she is really excited about trying the mushroom filet too :goodvibes.

As for Kona, the one thing about that restaurant is that they are known for their desserts and the best thing is when you first walk in, you will be shown the different desserts that they offer so you can think about it while you are eating your main course. The last time we ate there I had the chocolate fondue which was amazing :cloud9:. It was a warm chocolate fondue with cookies, different types of fruit, and marshmallows for dipping. They also have the Kona cone which is suppose to be their signature dessert, it looks really interesting and fun, I mean who wouldn't want a huge waffle cone with ice cream and a cloud of cotton candy around the bottom :goodvibes.

Le Cellier: the mushroom filet is a must. Maple Creme Brule for dessert.

Kona: I love the Teriyaki steak with a Kona Kone for dessert.

First, I have to say how funny you are! Thanks for the chuckle as I read your first post. You sound like you love food as much as I do! As for Le Cellier lunch... YUM! Now you have me drooling. Anyway, I would more than recommend the Mushroom Filet, but substitute the risotto for mashed potatoes. If you like potatoes half as much as I do then you will :lovestruc these! They have cream cheese in them that makes them all the better. I've tried the filet with both the risotto and the mashed potatoes and definitely preferred the potatoes. You still get all of the amazing sauce and mushrooms on top. Thank heavens I only have 55 more days until we go back to Le Cellier for our lunch. :cloud9:

You have all the restaurants I'm doing on my upcoming 10 day trip except for Via Napoli. (My others are Boma, Cape May, Raglan Road (1st time), and Coral Reef.)
I love the teri steak at Kona, and I'm a sucker for the Kona Kone. Love a little serving of cotton candy! The pork chop is pretty good, too. The Almond chicken was just so-so. Nothing special. The banana chocolate creme brulee is also very good.

I like the steaks at Le Cellier, which one I get depends on how hungry I am. Also like the pork chop. I had the burger, and it was very good. The soup doesn't do it for me, I really don't care for beer and I could really taste it. Love the pretzel bread.

We're going in March, and we have 4 of the same restaurants you have lined up (Teppan Edo, Ohana, Kona Cafe, and Y&Y). I'm so excited for you! :goodvibes

At Le Cellier, we loved the Mushroom Filet Mignon. The only thing is that I found the risotto a bit on the salty side - but other than that, the dish was a winner! For dessert, my DH swears by the maple creme brulee. I was so-so with it, but then I'm not a big fan of that maple taste (despite the fact I'm Canadian LOL). Unfortunately for us, we can't fit in Le Cellier for our upcoming trip - it's too expensive to add to our dining roster when not on the dining plan.

Enjoy your meals in February! Looking forward to a dining review when you return...pretty please?

KONA! KONA! KONA! Love it here! We like to try new places when we go but we always make sure we come back here. We've never had a bad experience at Kona - YUM! And if you want - if you have to wait for your table - walk to the Tambu Lounge nearby and get a drink... they make really good ones there! And yes - always good desserts at Kona too!

We've had pretty good experiences at Le Cellier too but we're taking a break from there for awhile. Glad you're going at lunch because dinner is not worth the 2TS Credits.

I'm a big fan of Whispering Canyon too!

Enjoy!

Ohhh, I love pineapple upside cake... sorry yours was a little dry :guilty:

I love that your 10 year old is excited about the steak, that's so cute... and I can't wait to try the soup and breadsticks.. :thumbsup2

Le Cellier: the mushroom filet is a must. Maple Creme Brule for dessert.

I think I'm definatly leaning towards the mushroom filet,,, and Creme Brule,,, It sounds wonderful!

I do love food, unfortunately I like food a little too much sometimes.... and I don't think I've ever had risotto,,,, sooooo, I may be less adventurous, and error on the side of caution with the mashed taters... you can never go wrong with thoes,, especially if the have cream cheese in them... THANKS! :thumbsup2

We did Cape May on our last trip... IMO it was decent, but as another poster said, so much food, so little time.... It didn't impress us enough to want to go back, at lest not this go around... But good luck!

Hummmm, a dining review.... I've never done one of those before... I will do my best, cause I do want to get some pictures this time! :thumbsup2

Oh Whispering Canyon,,, Yum, Yum, Yum.... and thanks for the Kona tip, I sure hope we like it, it sounds like we will... Thanks!

Not for the picky, but I adore Kona's tuna oscar... seared tuna with the most fabulous, slightly-hot seasoning, over fried green tomatoes and topped with tempura crab and wasabi hollandaise. THeir fondue dessert is pretty good too, simple and straightforward but yummy.

We're going this month (2 weeks! :woohoo:) and have a lot of the same restaurants in our lineup - Kona, Teppan Edo, Ohana, and Le Cellier. Kona & Teppan Edo are both family favorites. Ohana is a concession to the carnivores in the family' DH & DS loved it, me not so much. Le Cellier is a first for us all and I'm looking forward to trying it.

I might have to suggest the Tuna to the DH, he likes things a little spicy.
Good luck on LeCellier, I sounds like we can't go to wrong! :cool1:
