I don't understand this.

I called today, Oct. 13th, to make PS for breakfast at Plaza Inn on Dec. 13th. I was told that it was too early and I couldn't make it until 6 weeks in advance! She said it was because it was a restauraunt in the park.

Ok, that's news to me, especially since I called on Oct. 11th to make PS for Dec. 10th for the same restauraunt.

She had my Dec. 10th ressies in the system.

Whaaa????:headache: :crazy2:

Anyone else know anything about this "6 week" rule?

Just wondering...:scratchin

I am not sure what is up. My mom has been trying to make PS for Nov 29 and keeps being told try again next week.

It was my understanding that it was 60 days out for PS for all restaurants.

Just to make sure I didn't get an uncooperative CM, I called back about 30 minutes later. I talked to a different CM but got the same story.

Whatever...I just calendared 6 weeks out to call back.

HenDuck - We are planning on going out to Disneyland around that week too. So I have been following the rumors about the Plaza Inn becoming princess princess: instead of Pooh and Friends. So I wonder if the switch over could be happening and that is the reason for the run around. (okay that is really wishful thinking on my part) :D

I don't get it.

We go there ALL THE TIME.... and NEVER have had reservations. We just walk-up...wait a few minutes, and get a great seat.

I didn't even know there was a PS reservation system for this restaurant! (I knew there was for the ones in the hotels...).

They must only reserve part of the tables and leave the rest for walk-ups...

I wouldn't stress out over it... call if you think of it... if you miss it, just walk up...be prepared to wait for a few minutes, and enjoy your dinner!

It is only the Breakfast that has PS. If I remember a few months back they made it so that they opened up all seats to PS, which meant that if you didn't have one you may or may not get a table.

Thankfully they do not do this with Dinner. It is one of our favorites.

My Mom finally got her PS for Blue Bayou. Six weeks out exactly.

Thanks disneychrista for the update. I checked the Disneyland website yesterday and it gives no useful info about the PS system. It just says to call Disney Dining.

Anyhoo, my DS still loves Pooh so I hope it's still Pooh & friends when we go, although if it changes to Princesses and Belle is there, I think he'd be even happier.princess:

I'm going to call back on Nov. 1st which is exactly 6 weeks out for us.

:wave2:

Huh? I thought that Plaza Inn was the only character meal that DID NOT have PS's?
We have always walked right up and never had a problem getting a seat. I know I made PS's for PCH breakfast before - there must have been some real changes or something?

When I took my nephew in June I made a PS for the Plaza Inn.

When we went in April, I was under the impression that you could not even make PS for Plaza Inn. We walked up to the restauraunt and were asked if we had ressies. Of course we said "no, we didn't know we could make them." We walked in anyway without a problem, but that is why I am making PS for this December trip.

I really doubt that we'll need ressies in early December, but just thought I'd do it to be safe.

I just called this am and was able to make PS for Goofy's Kitchen on 12-12, but was unable to make PS for the Blue Bayou. She told me to call back in Nov. I asked when in Nov, and she replied, 30 days prior. So, apparently, it is just the in park restaurants, but not the hotels that changed. Debby

The CM I spoke to advised that you can a PS 60 days out for the hotel restaurants and only 6 weeks out for the park restaurants. My guess is because park hours aren't always finalized until 6 weeks out.

That's pretty true. You don't really need reservations for PI Character breakfast- all it means is that your spot is saved in the computer- no table is reserved. It's just a precaution because of fire codes and room capacity.
