Couldn't get Mickey TV card!

Hi All!

OK, I can't believe I'm posting another frustration thread but this is an FYI for everyone.

DH & I went to Disneyland tonight with our friends and their 2 boys. We all did 3 quests (Tomorrowland, Animation & Pirates), turned them in and did NOT get the TV card! We asked why and they it is totally randomat this point; that the computer doesn't give it out about 9 out of 10 times. The CMs have been told that if the computer doesn't say to give it out, then don't. (The four people in front of us didn't get it either)

I'm not sure who to write to about false advertising but it I hope they rectify this and that we can claim the card at a later date!

Oh that's terrible! I'm so sorry that happened to y'all. If that really is how they're going to do it at Disneyland, they need to advertise that. Or, if it is a glitch, maybe they should set up some way you can receive the card in the mail at a later time or something like that? That just stinks...

I was at WDW yesterday, and I just asked for the cards after I had done 3 quests. They gave me one for each set of 3.

P.S. They no longer allow you to keep the quest cards.

Oh, I am so sorry this happened to you!

What a disappointment to go and expect to get all the cards and for them to not give you one.

If any one has one what exactly does the card say as to how you get them?

It is bad enough to have to ride the VMK darks rides a million times to get a pin; but to pay the huge admission to the real park take your time to do a quest and it be a throw of the dice wether you get a VIRTUAL prize is outrageous!

The CM must have made a mistake. At WDW they are giveing out the TV card as a bonus for finishing any 3 quests. It appears they have replaced the green wristband with it.

We are going Sunday to Disneyland. If this is the case we will see what happens. We have 7 of us that will have tickets to turn the quests in (need to just print out a ton of the Tomorrowland ones now). I grabbed a bunch of each of the other quests when we were there a week ago to turn in when we went back again. I don't care if they give me more then one tv but they better give me at least one. I really wish that the theme parks would get it together with this stuff. Why give it out random in one park and then the other for all 3 finished quests. Hopefully by the time we go it will be as it should. *crossing fingers*

So sorry We went to WDW before I knew the tv's were out. The CM told me that we got them cause we completed the three quests. He did not say they were random, he said they were for completing all three. But that was WDW.

I was looking at the VMK site and the page where the newsletter and stuff is on has the pic of the TV card up and says it is for completing all 3 quests. So I think I will print that out just incase whichever CM is working tries to pull the "its random" bit on me when we go to DL Sunday. I would email VMK to tell them this happened to you when you were there. It may not get you a tv but it will let them know that this was/is happening in DL. And btw, if I get more then one tv I will gladly be willing to give you one since you weren't able to when you were there.

I agree that you should print out what Mal posted, as it clearly states
both Disneyland and WDW. Since it appears that you're "local" to DLR,
you should go back with the printout in hand, and what happened to you
when you were there yesterday.

Hopefully, either the CM or the lead CM will be there, and if you state your
case in a polite manner, they should give you the card. If they do not
cooperate, I'd take my case to City Hall.

omg, my friend went to disneyland for me and got me the red inner space shop magic pin and when they gave me the code i got an ace of spades carpet!! When my friend entered her code she got the same thing, what is up with that?? i think vmk should check their codes or something

Briar Rosie: I think I will go back with the print out within the week, if I have time. We did tell the CM what the site says and she even said that she knew that. She went out of her way to check if we were eligible to re-do the Animation quest. We were, so she added it, without us having to fill it out again. Still no TV. She called another CM who gave us the same info. as the first one.....that's it's random and that they were not to give them unless the computer said to.

On the up side, you really can do the quests after 60 days instead of 90!!

I will let you know Sunday evening/night what happens when I take the quests over to them. Speaking of which is there anything around to help with answers to the quests. I know some but not all of the quests that can be done. If you can help pm me if you have to please. I'd appreciate it a ton.

I probably won't get back to DLR until next Thurs. so I don't have any updates on the TV card sitch. However, I did have a friend on VMK give me the TV!

Regarding the Mickey Mouse prizes, currently the TV, I copied this line directly from his newsletter:

"So get to the park and get Questing - as the Mickey Mouse Television cards won't be around forever and how you can get the card is also subject to change! "

Could that be why Lisa didn't get it?

If so, what the H... is going on? This is no longer an incentive to go to the parks, if it is truly going to be random, and changing.

I just got back for Disneyland yesterday, we did four quest anamation, pirate tomorrowland and HSM (BTW two of the answers in the sticky are wrong) and my family of 4 all got the TV, now i told the girl before i turned the quest in that i had heard of some ppl not getting the TV's she said yes it was true, but as things were going that day as long as you did the three new quest you would get the TV. Also just so you know I put my space suit codes in today and they have worked out the ace carpet bug out and the code is giving the correct magic now! Good Luck with the black hole, I hope good things come form it

Interesting catch!.. They really are shooting themselves in the foot as far as incentives go. I'm a passholder and go all the time anyway, but it is discouraging for others, I think.
