Couldn't get a reservation -- Now what?

Hey all!
Heading down to Disney at the end of this month, and our Disney Springs wish is to eat at Homecomin'! I couldn't score a reservation for dinner, only a 3:30 lunch. It's a park day for us, so I wasn't planning on leaving the parks until maybe 6ish to head to Disney Springs for the night.
I check every day for cancellations that I can snatch up! I'm being hopeful. I also have a backup reservation for the Boathouse that evening.
My question is...if I can't snag a reservation for Homecomin' am I out of luck? Is there a waitlist for walk-ups or are they reservation only right now?

You can try Open Table, see if they offer Homecomin' reservations.

You can try the Touring Plans ADR finder if it's active right now.

You can keep checking/calling.

You can take the 3:30 and adjust your plans.

Never, ever, ever heard of a waitlist for ADRs.

I was going to suggest Open Table because they sometimes have more availability than the regular ADR through MDE

Homecomin is not on OT, so I think you will just need to keep checking.

Before the ‘Rona, Homecomin’ was easy for walk-up - we did this just back in January. My understanding is that they did this by choice. Obviously, things may be different now, but I’d recommend you call them directly and ask. Such a spectacular restaurant, great food, unpretentious. Worth the extra step of an inquiry!

Touring Plans reservation finder is up and running and got us a reservation we wanted for our mid-July trip. You can use it with a free Touring Plans membership. It works really well.

We had a 2:45 at Homecomin' today, but arrived early - right when they opened. We were seated about 10 minutes later - no problem!

They have patio seating which they have expanded. It’s always been our “go-to” when we couldn’t get a reservation. They also do (did?) takeout, so you have that option as well.

I actually signed up for dining alerts through *********** and was able to snag an evening dinner reservation! Yay!

Good luck! We're not going until September and I saw Brunch back on the menu - snagged a reservation on departure day and nearly fell out of my chair I was so surprised/excited.

Looks like you're all set now, but was going to mention that they have additional patio seating which is new. Between this and lower attendance, I would think it would make walk up chances likely. Bar seating was always first come first served as well, and you can order off the regular menu at the bar. But I'm not sure if they've changed the bar seating protocols at all since corona.
