I'm looking to buy some ponchos before we leave for WDW
I checked a local Dollartree here in the Bay area yesterday, but they don't stock them.

This indicates you have to buy a case, but I read in some thread it was 2 for a dollar. Do these actually reach down below the knee for adults ?

I'll check Walmart later but I don't think they stock any of the disposable ones. Was the selection in the camping section ?
Is this the main disposable one ?

If I can't get the disposable ones, I'll probably end up getting the Coleman for $7 each. But I was just looking for something cheap and one time use for Kali rapids. Unless, there's a real need for Splash Mountain and others (it wasn't necessary when I went to DL last year, and presumably it's a similar drop and ride)

I found them at target in the camping aisle. They weren't as cheap as the dollar store but they weren't $7 apiece either. I think they were Coleman's. I bought one for each person per day and I want to say they were $3-4.

I"m tall (5'9") and the dollar store ones were pretty short on me. Our Walmart stocks the dollar ones, along with some that run between $4 and $5 - they are usually in the camping aisle, but sometimes they have them by the umbrellas too.

I went to 2 Walmarts and checked the camping section and asked around. Couldn't find them. Tried another Dollartree and they had a few in stock. I bought some but will open them later. They look kind of flimsy but for something throwaway, I don't mind

But it's definitely a good store to get stuff like glowsticks, pens, crayons, stickers, puzzle books etc. I just need to pick up some cheap autograph books or small spiral pads now

You can find a few at Target. If not, their sold in many stores at disney and aren't expensive.

Just got two at Walmart today for 4.99 each. They have snaps at the neck and arm holes, reach below the knee, and have a carring pouch.

They were in the womens undergarment section near the fitting rooms on a large display full of umbrellas. They had kids and adult sizes.

Definitely check the camping section of Walmart and/or Target. The Coleman ones are about $7 each Walmart, $9-$10 at Target. They are not the disposable ones, but they do carry the disposable ones as well. I haven't seen disposable ponchos at the Dollar Tree (at least in my area) in many years. Personally, I hated them as they were way too thin...thinner than a trash bag.

Oh, I almost forgot, if you can't find them in the camping section of Walmart or if they're out of stock, head over to ladies' accessories section. Right around the purses, and hats there should be a section with umbrellas. There you'll find ponchos in a lil pouch for around $5. They're not quite as nice as the camping ones, but they're pretty darn close.

I bought a couple at walmart in the camping section for $1 each.

Those are the ones I'm planning to pick up. They come 2 to a package (or at least they did in 2012, the last time I needed them) and were packaged smaller than the ones in our local dollar store.

We've had a hard time finding them for about a year. I tend to prefer reusable stuff but not when it comes to rain ponchos. I try to go as light as possible in the parks so I don't want a jacket that I have to carry. I gave up my backpack a few years ago and now it's bagless (the cheap ponchos fit in my back pocket) or a very small wristlet whenever possible.

Walmart and Target seem to have quit carrying them. I tend to carry one around, use it then dump it. I don't like the Dollar Tree ones as they are too lightweight to wear in the rain, but I don't want to spend so much money that if I do wear it and toss it that I fell like I'm wasting too much money. Which makes .88 great, but if I have to pay $5.00 then I'm not only going to feel obliged to keep it, but I'm not really going to want to carry it around after I take it out of the neat slimline packaging, so I probably won't wear it or even take it. Luckily it has to be raining pretty hard for me to even contemplate wearing one and I bought a dozen or so about 4-5 years ago. I'm still using those but I am down to 3 or 4.

I keep looking for that nice happy medium.

I found some of the right weight at Dick's Sporting goods that were less then $2 so they are workable but not great. I bought two for my car. (I keep them there as emergency rain gear and have moved the cheaper ones that were in the car in my Disney supplies)

Thanks for the heads up, and for the tip about Dick's.

My husband chaperoned the Senior Trip to WDW in April, and since they forecasted (and got!!) some serious rain, he took the last of our ponchos to give to the kids in his group. So I'm down to none, and will have to stock up.

I'll start looking for them. Thanks again!

I just bought some in my local Target(nj) I found the Coleman disposable ones in the camping section for $1.50 each

Wonder if they are back in my Target yet? I'll have to go check. I just looked at Walmart a week or so ago and they still don't have anything lower than the $5-$6 ones at the cheapest.

I found some in Target the other day....Coleman brand for $1.50 each.

I got one set, but I'm still holding out for the Walmart ones I like.
