Could YOU pass the INS test?

I could pass it if I had just recently been studying for it. I think I know my two Senators--Bond and Talent. Reps no way. Now to look it up to see if I'm right. :teeth:

ETA: I was right! :cool1:

As I was scrolling down the thread I was drawing a blank. I am pretty ashamed to admit that I could not remember their names until I saw your post. Up until then I kept thinking Blunt but I know he is Governor. :sad2:

ETA: I did know Obama was one of the Senators from IL if that helps redeem myself.

Sen. Norm Coleman and Sen Mark Dayton from MN. Time for a change.

Mitch McConnell (R) is our senator and Ron Lewis (R) is a rep. Couldn't think of the other senator until I read someone's reply from KY.

Yep, sure can.

Rick Santorum (R)
Arlen Specter (claims R, but I'm not convinced)

Both from PA.

I could name MANY others too, but these are from my state.

Sen. John Warner(R-VA) & Senator George Allen(R-VA). My US Congressman is Rep. Jim Moran(D-VA).

agnes!

Sure can name them:

Russ Feingold (D-WI) and Herb Kohl (D-WI) (Gwen Moore (D-WI) is my districts Rep)

Also being from Washington State, ours are already posted, but I did know them. Honest. :)

I can't say for sure however that I would pass the rest of the test. Having seen one once I felt the test went way overboard.

When my DH's immigration test was upcoming, he studied like crazy for the citizenship portion, knew all the amendments to the Consitution, etc. He was asked two questions:
(1) The three branches of government; and (2) The first President of the United States.

That was it :rotfl:

As long as it's from the state I'm currently living in, then yes I can. If it's a random state then no.

And if Allen can't keep his mouth out of trouble until the election that will change. :rotfl:

I can name two from our state--Micheal C. Burgess and Jane Nelson. :)

DH has had his picture taken with Micheal Burgess when the senator was here on some business in town. Senator Nelson owns a home around the corner from the DIL's. :)

Not only can I name my senators, but I also know INS is no longer referred to as INS (Immigration and Naturalization Services) but rather USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) :)

Yep, I could do it. I don't like to even think about it though. lol! I'm hoping my answer will be different next year!

John McCain and Jon Kyl. My Congressman is Jim Kolbe who is retiring this year, and his seat is hugely contested right now.

It'll always be the INS :teeth: Our last trip down there after the name change they were still calling it the INS. It's like renaming the IRS, they can call it what they want, but it's still the IRS! :rotfl2:

Although I know my state's senators, I would have to study. My son is taking it (his junior high principal is from Canada and taking his INS test this year, so they are all taking it). I got the 13 colonies wrong. I think I put Vermont instead of Delaware.

Wasn't Delaware the first to ratify the Constitution? LOL
