Could you handle another magic band / fp+ question?

So, our trip is approaching, leave Dec. 7th. Trip will include myself, DH, DS10, DS8 and my mom. The four of us have AP's, no ticket yet for my mom. Have done linking of ressies (BWV 1 bedroom) and AP's and can start doing fp+ selections for just the four of us. We would like to wait until arrival to purchase my mom's ticket at the front desk. We are expecting a $200 gift card from a dvc referral that we'd like to apply to the ticket. Anyway ... my question is, will anyone (front desk, guest services, concierge?) "copy" our fp+ times for my mom? I've read about copying other group members fp+ on another thread. Thanks for any info on this.

Also, on an unrelated note, we put in the order for the gift card as the "sharing the magic" reward at least two weeks ago. Really hoping to receive it before we leave. Anyone have experience on how long it usually takes?

When I couldn't get 2 of my 4 passes to accept FP+ reservations, I was told they would copy them over for me when I got to the resort.

However, their IT department fixed the problem early so I was able to do all mine from home.

Just a thought, can you purchase your ticket now and just use the gift card for meals/souvenirs? It shouldn't be hard to spend $200 among 5 people.

Yes, it is possible to copy FP+s from one person to another. The problem would be if there are no FP+s remaining for your times. It remains to be seen if they will be able to copy them over in that situation.

I agree with Reddog...I would buy the ticket now and use the gift card on your trip.

It's very easy to copy over FP+ selections yourself. I don't remember exactly how I did it, but if you have already made selections for your family, it should be pretty easy to figure out after adding your mom's ticket. Like others have suggested I agree getting her a ticket sooner rather than later is a good strategy.

If you can't figure it out I can go back for you and figure out the steps.
