If they have any old Doctor Who films in their attic? You see, if they do they can win a free Lifesize Dalek! Allow me to explain before you raid your attics..
You see, back in 1960 they didn't have tapes, and so everything was recorded on film. Film was expensive, so every once in a while they wiped old films that they didn't want anymore (Also, they had an aggrement with the Actor's union that they didn't repeat the same episode every so often and had to get rid of them). They had NO idea that Doctor Who was really popular, or that people would want them on Video tape later.
As a result, they have missing episodes of Doctor Who. Some of them re-appeared via Car boot sales, collectors etc, but some stories are damaged, incomplete or in soundtrack only. Hence why the BBC want people to give them back if they have them.
If you have any of the lost episodes in your attic, please give them back to the BBC via Blue Peter so the BBC can make video tapes of them. You can keep a copy for yourself; it's just so that they can have something for video purposes.
If you have one, contact Blue Peter via the following address, and they will send you a lifesized Dalek! http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/bluepeter/content/articles/2006/04/19/doctor_who_feature.shtml
