Could you do US and IOA in one day?

We are heading to the polynesian in march and we have never done universal before...i really only want to allocate one day to universal..can both be done in the one day?

Probably not all the attractions. You could hit most of the more popular rides in both parks I think. One option is to buy an Express Pass which should help tremendously. Do some research to see which rides you really want to do.

IMHO the attractions not to miss (in no particular order):

Islands of Adventure
Hulk
Spiderman
Jurrasic Park
Dueling Dragons.

Universal Studios
Jimmy Neutron Shrek
The Mummy
Jaws
Men in Black
The Simpsons
The Terminator

Much of this depends on how old any children are that are going.

Agreed. It would be virtually impossible. We hit the park last year over MLK and by mid-day on the Saturday the place was packed.
