Could we be any hotter??? The continuation of my TR, just for fun!

Just caught up on your thread, I've been busy moving into our new house. I come back to find Courtney's having baby.:cheer2: :cheer2: Congratulations Courtney and Ryan. I am so happy for the both of you. I'm sure you are going to have just the most beautiful baby ever, and Courtney you are going to be just the cutest thing when you get a belly. Can't wait to see pictures of that.

Hope all is well.

Everyone must be really busy! It's quiet on the boards this week.

How's everyone been? I'm heading down to Destin on Tuesday for a long holiday with my parents. Leaving the kids at home with my hubby. Now I see that it might be a bit soggy down that way. Soggy in Florida is still better than soggy in Ohio.:)

Have a great weekend everyone!

First of all, I am waaay late to the party, but CONGRATS COURTNEY & RYAN!!!

Love the names you're thinking about, and the nursery bedding is so beautiful! My advice to you is to sleep, sleep, sleep as much as humanly possible, 'cause girl, you will not be sleeping for a looong time after your wee Tiger fan arrives!;)

Hope everything is going good :)
And speaking of babies..... Hi to my fellow Woodbridge resident Lauren Elizabeth! Pixie dust to you on Sept 24th!! (or, as I'm sure you're hoping, any time before that!!!!)

Hi Friends!!!!

Thank you for keeping the thread going in my absence!!!!

I'm so glad yall are all still here!

I've been doing great lately.... Just extremely tired... Like can't shake the flu tired. It's like nothing I've ever experienced. But in 1.5 weeks, I'll start my second trimester and I'm hoping that I'll have a surge of energy! I surely need it! And I've had really bad headaches lately. While those are no fun, I know there's a special little person causing them =) and I much prefer that vs. the throw-ups---- If you read my TR, you know how afraid I am of that!!!!

We go back to the Dr. on October 2nd for a checkup, and then on October 17th go in for our gender ultrasound! Less than a month till we know what "it" is!!!! So excited for that!

Been doing a lot of work in the nursery--- just with some little accent pieces, etc. I can't wait till it's all done so I can post pictures and show all of you! And I will certainly post pictures of Baby Emerson or Baby Hays on October 17th!!!!! Still haven't gotten the bedding that I ordered... It's scheduled to ship out on Tuesday, so hopefully I'll have it by next weekend--- WAHOO!!!!

Just got finished watching the LSU game--- GEAUX TIGERS! Ryan went fishing this weekend so we sold our tickets to my sister and her boyfriend. Ended up working out GREAT b/c:
1. It was a day game--- aka HOT!
2. It rained--- aka YUCK!
3. It was on TV--- aka AWESOME!

So, now, my being the extremely tired pregger woman that I now am, am about to go take my bath (not hot, of course-- bad for the baby), eat a little dinner, and zonk for the night!

Till next time my friends!

PS-- Lauren Elizabeth---- I'm SO SUPER excited for you!!!!! Will you PLEASE post pictures of your new little one ASAP????? Hijack all you want!!!!

You know I will be here no matter what! I was wondering how you've been dealing with the nausea. I feel bad for you, I HATE throwing up too! I hope it hasn't been too bad for you. But, like you said, it's for a very special cause :flower3:

I was wondering if you were at the game! Our boys did it again :woohoo: can't be touched!

AWWWW I remember those feeling of utter exhaustion! I know you can't wait for that surge of energy the 2nd trimester brings. I can't wait till you tell us if the baby is a Lil Emerson or a Lil Hays! How exciting!

Hi Courtney! Glad to hear you are doing well..... I also experienced that "UTTER EXHAUSTION" that first trimester. I remember how AMAZINGLY NOT TIRED I was in the 2nd trimester! (and how big I felt in that 3rd trimester, even though I only gained 19 lbs! ;) ) Make sure you take those "rests" even when you aren't tired, because they build you up and get you ready for what is to come!!! How exciting for you and Ryan! :cutie:

Well, I guess it's better late than never...

Finally made it through the awesome TR and this fun thread...I do have to work sometimes or at least look like I am :thumbsup2

Congratulations!!! My best advice would be to get rest whenever possible...you'll need it :) Also, when the baby is born....ENJOY EVERY MOMENT...it goes by way too fast!!!!

Hi Courtney,
Glad you are feeling well and throwing up. I know you get freaked out about that just like me. I wasn't so lucky though. Hope you get a bit of your energy back soon. Please check in and let us know how your doing once in a while.

Hi DIS Friends!

I have a little "message of the day" for you today (or whenever you are reading this).

Ryan and I had quite a scare this weekend. A very big scare, and I thought I would share it with you, in hopes that you will be more careful in everything you do, and spread the message.

Ryan was out of town this weekend, fishing. Since I have been so tired, I told myself that I was going to be lazy, for once in my life, and stay in my PJs all day on Saturday.... The LSU game was at 2:30, so I was just going to bum around in the morning, watch the game, and take it easy. Of course, that's SO hard for me to do, so when I woke up on Saturday, I thought, "Well, I'm not feeling SO tired, let me go ahead and run a few errands before the game."

So, I did, then came home, exhausted, of course, watched the game, then went to sleep literally in the 7:00 hour. Yes, it was great.

I slept late on Sunday and decided that was going to be my lazy day. I knew it was okay if I missed church one day, so I slept in. And it felt great. I was feeling really really tired, and that's exactly what I needed.

When Ryan got home, I was supposed to go with him, in my trailblazer to my aunt and uncles house to pick up some furniture.

He came back around lunch on Sunday, visited with me for two seconds before he had to leave. I decided that since I hadn't gotten dressed for the day, I would stay home.

That turned out to be the best decision of my life... That possibly saved my life and the baby's.

Here's what happened on his way to get the furniture:

This was AFTER they had flipped it on it's right side.

Five lane, 60-mph interstate...
A car was trying to get across five lanes of traffic, apparently with little caution. It clipped a mustang who spun and was forced, perpendicular to traffic across four lanes. Bounced off of one wall on the side of the interstate, came flying back across the five lanes of traffic and slammed into my husband.

It forced him, in my car, to flip, twist, and turn, and slide, on it's roof 100 yards down the interstate.

When he realized he was alive, he thought, "Now I have to get out of the car without getting hit by passing traffic."

He had no idea if the car had jumped the median to the opposing lane of traffic.

And do you know what???? The car who clipped the mustang DIDN'T STOP.... HIT AND RUN.

But do you know what else???? He is fine.

With minor scrapes and blood, a very black eye, very bruised ribs, and a sore neck, he's FINE!

Praise God! He's the one who watched over him.

When he called me, I was there in 12 minutes---- Driving on the shoulder to get past the traffic which had developed for miles already.

I nearly passed out but had to calm myself down for the baby. I just prayed and prayed my prayers of thanksgiving.... For his safety, for the fact that he was in MY car b/c it is (or was) bigger than his camry, for the fact that I wasn't in the car, Maddie wasn't in the car, and everything else that made a HORRIBLE day into a WONDERFUL day, because, HE IS FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who could ask for more????????

Secondary to that is the other bad part in that my car was paid off, and now we'll have a car note and day care note.... But everytime we've needed money in the past, we've been blessed with it. I have faith that everything will work out.

It always has.

So, please, please, please, if you need to show these pictures to anyone, DO. If it helps people be careful, then GREAT! I think we all get in too much of a rush that we don't pay attention.... on the road, in life, and everyday with our loved ones..... Give an extra kiss to your "special ones" tonight and thank God that you have them in your life.... It's a precious gift.

PS- 13 weeks preggers today =)

Oh my goodness! I don't even know what to say. You definitely have an angel watching out for you! Thank goodness all is well. I've got the goosebumps afters seeing those pictures. I'm thinking good thoughts for you, and smooth sailing ahead.....:grouphug:

:scared1:

Wow. God was truly looking out for you and Ryan! It just boils my blood when people drive recklessly and other people end up paying for their incompetence:mad: . Hopefully they'll find whoever was responsible. It's amazing to see how safe cars are nowadays; after a scary accident like that, it's incredible to hear that your husband's okay!:thumbsup2

P.S....if you need a new car, PM me, I can get you a really nice discount on all GM vehicles ;)

OMG, how very scary! I am so sorry to hear of your DH's accident and praise God he was not injured any worse. Yes, your guardian angel definitely must have given you insight to stay home safe and sound. Best wishes to DH and please take care sweetie.

Oh my gosh Courtney those pictures are frightening! I am sooo very glad that Ryan is ok. Thank God!!!!! Looking at those pictures and hearing that it flipped and skidded on the hood he is lucky to come out with bumps and bruises and nothing worse. And thanfully you were NOT in that car! Glad everyone is ok

WOW!! thank god he is alright. My friends were in an accident and there 6 month old was in the backseat on the passenger side. they had no idea he was supposed to ride in the middle and a city bus hit them. the side that Dylan (baby) was on. Geico told them they should thank Volvo cause of the steal they put in the doors cause it saved Dylan's life. it is a wake up call.

Again happy he will be alright.

Courtney,

OMG......I was in tears looking at the pictures. Thank GOD that he was watching out for Ryan (and YOU). The impact pictures look SO MUCH like my accident in 1998.....my SUV was totaled too. Do the police have ANY leads on who this guy was ??

Give Ryan a big hug from me......hope he's feeling better soon.
