While I'm betting Brad Bird's film, Tomorrowland, will only appeal to the Imagineering obsessed, like me, (We'll see after the big Superbowl commercial), wouldn't it be wonderful if the World's Fair part of the film inspired a refresh of Epcot's Future World, and the Tomorrowland part of the film inspired a refresh of Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland?

I'll keep my fingers crossed, but not hold my breath.

I think it more likely that it will inspire new merchandise. But only if the film is a big hit.

You may be right about the film only appealing to specific fan groups. The trailer does look intriguing... It may be more mainstream then you think.

I myself am getting excited about the possibilities of Tomorrowland tie ins. New rides and theming? Sounds awesome!

I don't imagine they would use the same IP in both parks, it would be confusing. Visit World's Fair 64 at Epcot, inspired by Tomorrowland. Not to be confused with our theme land Tomorrowland. Also featuring rides inspired by Tomorrowland.

Our area of central Florida - New Smyrna Beach - will probably have a good turn out to see it as alot of the film was shot here & they transformed our downtown area for it.

If it does happen much more likely to get new things in tomorrowland very doubtful this influences changes in future world in Epcot.

Agreed. The problem with MK Tomorrowland and Epcot future world is they step on each others toes. Disneyland Tomorrowland can work in both the Sci-Fi and in future technologies spheres without any competition. Tomorrowland MK can only work in Sci-Fi and Future World only in tech. Or at least they should. The line is blurry and they consistently cross the lines in both platforms.

Epcots future world doesn't even have much new tech anymore. So is it really future world?

Good question. Disney wanted to dump that name during the project Gemini Upgrades. That never happened though. Something needs to be done one way or another.

I have been following Tomorrowland since first announced and it is now trending hot. There are a lot of articles in the entertainment industry calling it one of the most anticipated movies of the year and there is good buzz about the Super Bowl ad. It looks great so far for general audiences, but we will see. I hope it does well. Visually the world is stunning.

Maybe a Tomorrowland Transit Authority overlay where the film actors appear in places like the "Futuristic Hair Salon" diorama?

I can see Shanghai getting a similar look for their TL but I would say MK is last on the list for new stuff after
DAK, DHS, then EPCOT
