Could this be a sign of things to come?

So I noticed that the first week of May is already sold out before 7 months. I’ve never ever had an issue getting exactly what I wanted at my home resort. BCV is basically sold out ALREADY in all room types for the first 3 weeks in May. I looked at other resorts with similar results (all had more availability than BCV but still limited).

Is there something going on I’m not aware of? I’ve read and predicted, availability is going to get harder as we move forward but this caught me by surprise. Is it already starting or could it be BCV specifically?

Luckily I grabbed our usual ressie for Star Wars day and the 3 days before & after about 2 months ago. Glad I did. Thoughts?

They reduced the points for all of May and it seems to be doing the trick. People have shifted trips to travel then to save points.
Ahhhhh I wasn’t aware of that, thank you! Just looked at 23 vs 24 & appears the same?

And the reduced time period ("season"), is only 15 days long. And this year Sat- Sat is the 4th to the 11th, so only full week is at the low point levels. Ealy May will be busier now, but years with closer to 2 full weeks at the lower points might be a little better. And yes...... We have a trip planned for May 4th to the 11th........ Additionally, May 4th (May the Fourth) has activities in DHS for Star Wars each year, so that week might even get a little bump at BCV, RR, and BWV.

We booked 1st week of May for May the 4th be with you, and we're planning Cinco de Mayo at Epcot. Hopefully it isn't too crazy, but who am I kidding, especially with 4th & 5th on a weekend? I'm glad we booked the resort & room type that we wanted in the 11 month window.

You sure? I just looked because that's our usual time to go, and there are plenty availability for OKW, SSR, BLT, BRV, AKV and CCV.

May is the new Sept/Oct as far as points - I suspect it will get busier and busier..

"Buy where you want to stay" is more important than ever...If that is beyond your reach, try for 2nd fave. I'm beginning to worry if 11-months will always ensure a ressie for the dates we each need.

Do prices fluctuate oftenper point? When I bought SSR about 2 weeks ago you could not find a contract for less than 100 per point. Now I am seeing one for 89 and some for 95.

All depends. I think $100 is average although my offers were in the $80’s and many have passed in that range. Short answer is yes they fluctuate based on offers & accepted offers

That is what has me concerned although it shouldn’t be an issue I hope. There’s only so many points available. I bought BCV because that is where I always want to stay. I’m lucky I grabbed our ressie right away although I thought I didn’t need to. Now I’m looking for another (boys are bringing friends) and there’s nothing available. Fingers crossed
