Could that Reservation be under a different name??? My 50th Birthday @ Disney !

Hello! I'm joining in! Neat to see pictures of the Sports resort. I don't think I've seen many pictures from there.
Can't wait to see whats next!:goodvibes

You two are a cute couple and I am enjoying your report. Great pics too! Those 2 silver and blue soldiers at DTD gave me the creeps! Did they interact with anyone? and that purple angel thingy too! LOL.

You know, I don't think I've ever run across pictures from All Star Sports. It's kinda cool! I am enjoying your report so far - your pictures are great!

Welcome! I agree, I can't recall seeing any from AS Sports either....thanks for coming on over

Hi and thanks for joining...there will be lots more pics as I always take tons:rolleyes1

Welcome! thanks for checking out my TR. The soldiers were mimes and they were interacting with guests and taking pics with them. I agree about the creepy factor (but it was a pic I didn't have):lmao: the angel was kinda different too. It would change position and freek people out

I'm in!:goodvibes I'm late, but I'm here!

Jackie, I'm all caught up now. We've not been to the All Star Sports since our very stay there in 2000, but you got some really great pictures of the resort, room, pool area, etc. (I like the new rooms better than the old ones).

Great photos of the entertainers dancing at the MK.

Looking forward to more.

after Pirates we went on Jungle Cruise

from there we went to Pecos Bill for some lunch
Danny ordered the chsburger and I had the BBQ sandwich, we both had coke and carrot cake...total would have been $32.32
we have eaten at Pecos Bill many times in the past and liked it; today it just wasn't very good. My bun was so soggy I ended up taking it off and just eating the meat out of it. Danny said his burger was greasier than usual and not very tasty. After lunch we walked a bit and took a few pictures

about 3:30 we headed for the front of the park... we needed to find our hotel and get luggage to the room before we went to DTD for Dinner tonight.

DSC05097.jpg

we stayed at Hampton Inn on Palm Parkway for 2 nights. It is only about 1 mile from DTD and was easy to find with the new GPS I gave to Danny as an early Christmas present.
we were checked in and in our room by 5pm
the room was nice and the hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. And I got a good rate to boot... total for 2 nights was $133.85 and internet was free as well as a hot and cold buffet breakfast (including Mickey waffles) coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day

room also had a fridge and microwave

next up.... dinner at Rainforest DTD

we left in plenty of time to get to DTD and find parking...our ADR at Rainforest was for 8pm. It was only about 7 when we parked so we looked in some of the stores we didn't check out the night before. We checked in at Rainforest about 7:45 and the girl said it would be about 45 minutes:confused: Danny walked back over to her and told her we had an ADR... she looked puzzled, gave us a paper and told us to go to the line on the left, I looked at the paper and it had someone elses name and said party of 4:confused3 again Danny walked back over to her to explain and she said 'don't worry about it, as long as you're checked in, it's ok' hmmmm ok...
we were seated within 5 minutes in the Elephant Room. We have eaten several times so we pretty much knew what we wanted. Our servers name was Danny (easy to remember:laughing:)
Danny ordered a Corona Light and a coke, and I had Dr. Pepper
I ordered the pot roast and a cup of clam chowder soup. Danny had New York Steak & Shrimp and another beer with dinner. The food was good as always (Danny says that was the best meal he ever remembered having there) our check total was $73.87 and I had a $20. gift card as well as a $25. credit on my Landry's Select Club card, so our cost was $28.87

after dinner we decided to call it an early night. We had debated on doing EMH @ EPCOT but decided not to

we were back at our hotel before 10:00 and just chilled and watched some tv

Next up.... Day 3... Saturday December 18th @ Animal Kingdom

More wonderful pictures! And that hotel looks nice. I love when a fridge and micro are included with the room. Just a nice convenience.

Great pictures! I will have to show Mark the one of Dumbo outside at Downtown Disney.

The Hampton looks really nice (we like them...they usually have really comfy beds).

it was a nice hotel, we would stay there again if the need arose, and the fridge was nice size too

yes the beds were comfy:thumbsup2

Day 3....Saturday December 18th...
so we had set the wake-up call for early so we get get to Animal Kingdom for rope drop...I woke up about 7am and looked out the window...Rain...lots of rain....hard rain....so I went back to bed:rolleyes1. I don't mind wearing a rain poncho, Danny not so much. But when it pours like it was even with a poncho your feet would get wet...:eek:and I hate walking in wet shoes...at first we figured the entire day would be a wash:sad2: but about it finally let up so I suggested we see what we could salvage out of the day. So at 1pm we had made out way through baggage check and used the restrooms and started to make our way into the Animal Kingdom Park. It was still cloudy and the ground was wet but the rain had stopped.:cool1:
we saw this little momma squirrel munching on an acorn

DSC05163.jpg

the first thing we did was eat lunch... since we had a dinner ADR later this evening we decided on Pizzafari
We ordered a pepperoni pizza with side caesar salad, an order of breadsticks, large coke and large orange soda...total was $18.81. I had the salad and 1slice of pizza and a breadstick, Danny had the rest of the pizaa and breadsticks...
after we finished eating we decided to go down to Camp Minnie Mickey and see which characters were out. i took a few pics along the way

Except for Goofy there was only 2 or 3 people in each line. Goofy's was a bit longer, I'm guessing it's cuz he was Santa Goofy. So we made the rounds... I pre purchased the photopass cd so I figured we best start getting some pictures taken.

I got my picture taken with Mickey before Danny got in the picture, and when Mickey saw he was wearing a Donald shirt he motioned for him to leave...and Danny said "well heck, I'll just go next door and see Minnie then" Mickey stopped, walked over to Danny and pointed at his eyes and then to Danny as if to say "I've got my eyes on you"... him and Danny kidded around about this for a couple minutes and when we were done Mickey turned to me and motioned for me to keep an eye on Danny... Danny laughed and as we started walking away Mickey followed us to let Danny know he was watching

Thanks for sharing all the great pictures!
I'll enjoy reading along to make our next five weeks go by a little easier. :)

we waited till last to go to Goofy. When we got to the front Goofy had to go make a phone call, so we waited.

DSC05201.jpg

When he came back he started looking for his name on the presents

DSC05204.jpg

the biggest one was his... I asked him which one was mine and he pointed to the smallest one

DSC05206.jpg

the photopass photographer had left when Goofy had, but didn't come back. Goofy's handler explained that she had to go get another battery and it would be a few minutes til she returned so we just took our pic with him and left.
