Has anyone taken a 17 month old to one of the Universal parks? If so how was it? was there much for a little to enjoy? can they go on any rides? or should we wait till he's older? If anyone has any advice we'd appreciate it!!THANKS!!!

Your 17 month old will probably enjoy Seuss Landing very much. Very bright and colorful. On the Cat in the Hat ride you can request that your "sofa" does not spin. The One Fish Two Fish ride is really fun-kind of like Dumbo. The carolsuessel may also be enjoyed. The interactive area there is very fun for little ones. At Universal the Fieval's Playground and A Day with Barney are great for little guys. The play area at Barney is really cute. The Jimmy Neutron ride is another possibility. You can sit up front where the seats don't move. There are always a lot of charachters at both parks and many vehicles and other interesting things going on. My son esp. likes seeing the Mystery Machine. I am sure I am leaving stuff out. If you are staying onsite, the boat ride is very nice. Citywalk has several things for kids to do and lots of entertainment at certain times of the year. You should have a great time!

I forgot to mention that most of the baby swap areas at Universal are much nicer than Disney. Some of them have tv's and benches to sit on. Remember that a child that age does not need to go on a lot of rides to have a great time. There are plenty of play areas. If your child likes animals the Animal Planet show is really cute!

I am taking my 21 month old this weekend. There is a lot for them to enjoy as tippytoe said. At US, we had a great character interaction in front of I Love Lucy . They had Chucky, Tommy, Dora, Anglica. They were all very attentive to my DS last August. He was 15 months old then. The store next to the Jimmy Neutron ride has a fun area to run around and you can meet Spongebob there. Lot's of fun at Barney show and Fieval. Let your little one watch the Nick Jr channel and he'll get a feel for the characters and should be able to recognize them.

Over at IOA they also have Camp Jurassic where you can walk around and explore. Good place to TRY and tire the kids out. Also at toon Lagoon the good ship Olive (name?) and lot's of fun scenery to interact with.

Their child swap are the best. I believe all the major rides have it. Just ask a CM for directions.

he is still on one at night and one in the morning. We hope to have him off by the summer. i have found a wonderful juice that is made by gerber that comes in 4 oz. mini containers and are awesome for traveling, i usually mix 2 together to make a nice bottle.
