Could someone tell me why this makes me cry? *2 pics!*

As much as I have enjoyed the last couple years here at the Dis sharing stories about our family adventures, two people who have made several personal attacks on my family and I in the past and have hurt my feelings very badly, have just been made moderators so I'm removing my stories to prevent any further attacks.

It wasn’t so much what they had to say about me, but these people said mean, hurtful things about my children when all I was trying to do was ‘find the humor in things’.

Due to the decision of DIS management in which they elevated Mary and Mark to the position of Moderators, I have elected to remove my posts to protect myself, my family and our feelings.

A message board shouldn’t make you cry.

Thank you to all my friends that I have made here, I have really enjoyed our time together, however,

Now it's time to say goodbye to all my company...

Aww.........thanks for sharing the pictures!!

My daughter graduated May 28!! I wish our kids were able to *be themselves* at their graduation. Our school is full of *fuddy-duddy's* and our kids had to be VERY formal at their graduation.

ConGRADulations Commando Nikki!!

CONGRATS NIKKI! Well Done!

So very glad she is feeling well enough to have fun on this special day. Also glad for you that you didn't have to piggy back her across the stage - those grass skirts can make you itch something fierce.

Thank you for sharing these moments of joy.

The only requirement our HS made for clothing was that there was some. There had been a couple of streakers the year before (stepped on the stage, got their diplomas, dropped their robes, and all that they had on were sneakers and a smile).

Woo Hoo!!! Congratulations Commando Nikki! :sunny:

We couldn't decorate our hats, had to wear a dress or a shirt (no SPAGHETTI straps), and must have high heeled shoes (not backless) and they couldn't be stiletto heels.

And this was a PUBLIC school!

That is so cool that Nikki was able to decorate herself. I would've gone out in full pink :) Congrats to Nikki, she looks so happy.

Is she going to school next year? If she is, brace yourself for more tears!

Congrats to Nikki (and you too Robin)!! Glad to see she is feeling better.

:cool1: Congratulations, Nikki!

We all decorated our cap tops when I graduated. No streakers though :teeth: !

Great photo's! Thanks for sharing. Congratulations to Commando Nikki!::yes::

Congratulations NIKKI and you to Robin. You have raised a wonderful daughter and should take part in the praise. I love the decorated cap as well. All 3 graduations I had (HS, college, law school) were too formal and wouldn't stand any "fun stuff".

Tell Beatlebum congrats as well.

CONGRATULATIONS COMMANDO NIKKI!!

And congratulations Delswife for rasing a bunch of good kids!!

tricia.

Congratulations to you and both your DD's.:D
I always cry at graduations and proms. I can't help it and my DD's are only 13 and 4. I even get teary eyed when I pass a strangers house and see a girl outside posing for pictures in her gown.

What power and self assurredness!!! You are right to
be sooooo proud!

We celebrate their achievements...
Our hearts break when their's do...
And we give thanks for their little faces - 8 months, 18 years or 48 years old - everyday.

Why do we cry...they are our babies
Always.

Congrats Commando Nicki!!!...and Wobin too;);)
and Beatlebum is tonight? Kleenex, please!!!

:sunny:

Congrats to Nikki!!!!
The seniors at my school were "sent off" today. They were all at school in their caps and gowns. A lot had their caps airbrushed, and flip flops were big. Lots of tears among us juniors-since most of us had many friends in the senior class, and because at the end of the send off we became official seniors.
That's so great that Nikki was able to enjoy graduation even though she's been so sick-I would be upset beyond belief if I ever had to miss mine.
