Is it worth signing up for this? Can someone give me first hand experience with the pros and cons?

Thank you!

My husband signed up for this about a year ago. So, far we have saved approximately $0.50 towards the girls' college fund!! WHOA!

But, seriously, I am not sure if it will amount to much when they go to college, but I guess it's worth a shot!

I signed up about a year ago. I have listed all of the cards I have and my phone company. So far, I have about $62.00. It doesn't seem like much, but it's not costing me anything and it's easy. If nothing else, by the time she goes to college, it will be enough to buy books for a semester. ::yes::

It is worth signing up because it is free. i signed up a year ago. I have about a dollar but get your family and friends to sign up too, then it just builds. Especially if you are buying a car or house. If you know anyone who is ask them to sign up real quick, a co-worker. It costs them nothing and it builds the future.

We've been signed up for years now, I'll have to ask dh how much we have in there. It's worth it because, hey, it's free money! Even if it's not much, who cares because it takes minimal effort to sign up (and that's all you have to do, there's no maintainence...)

I've been doing it about 2 years...I think there's about 100 bucks in there. A good way for it to build is to shop online through their site...it will take you to several online shopping areas...Lands End and LL Bean come to mind....and then a certain percentage of those purchases go towards your total. It's free money, but certainly isn't going to pay for a complete college education. Oh, also, enter your grocery shopper card numbers and certain items you buy at the store will count on there too as long as you use the grocery card when you shop.

How much you build depends on how much you put into it. For instance, I built a little more because AT&T used to be involved, and that got me a few extra bucks (but they left the program). If you get a Upromise credit card, I'm sure it builds much quicker, but I use my Disney card instead! We made an auto purchase through GM, and that got us $250. So far, we have made over $400 in about two years.

We've been using Upromise for a year...We have a little over $100 in our account. It just depends on how much you use it. I try to do all my online shopping through Upromise. We book our travel plans through Expedia or Priceline which also gives us credit....We only buy gas at Exxon stations, I order all my magazine subscriptions through their link, etc etc.
