Where is it? When is it? How old do you have to be? What does it cost? What number do you call to book? Any other questions I should ask?

The only pirate cruise I know of is the ride at Magic Kingdom. Is that what you are talking about?

Hi - I had two little pirates on that cruise in May 05. My ds was 6 and my dd5, I can not say how much they enjoyed this! I do not remember exactly the cost, may have been about $35 each? They took off from the Grand Floridian, which was just beautiful to stroll through. All the kids were given lifevest, and adorable Mickey pirate ears hat. They gave them a talk about water safety, and sticking together etc. also some pirate lingo, how to shout AAAARGH! at any passing boats etc. All cute stuff, nice photo opps! Then they took off. They were given juice and PB & J on the trip. While they were on their cruise we rented a boat for the rest of us - dh, ds10, ds2, with the intention of catching up to them - which we thought they would really get a kick out of - but alas - we did not know where they went. They went to a couple different stops (islands) following a treasure map untill they finally found a treasure chest! Upon their return, there was a bag inside the treasure chest with each pirate's name on it, typical goodie bag stuff - they were thrilled! All in all I can honestly say this was some of the best money we spent our whole trip! It was very well organized - they gave you a pager in case of any issues - you had to have your id to pick up the kids. Very well done. I believe I booked this right through Disney Dining - (407) WDW-DINE, but if not just ask and they can connect you. It books quickly - not very many cruises, so call way in advance. I believe they have added another cruise that goes to different "ports" that launches from the POLY. I would highly recommend this!

I was just reading in the Birnbaum's WDW Guide that there is a "Priate" voyage offered that launches from behind the Contemporary resort. It then sets sail for the Magic Kingdom and you watch "Wishes" from there (that's the firework display over the MK). The sail time includes stories, etc. and the cost is $34.99 for adults and $19.99 for 3-9. Full payment is required 45 days to guest arrival, call 407-934-7639.

One at the Grand Floridian, on out of the Y&BC. They are around $30. They book quickly, so call as soon as you can. Children have to be four and potty trained, and there aren't many kids older than eight, though the age goes to ten. No parents allow, no characters. They go on a boat ride and hunt for pieces of map to find buried treasure. Then the divide up the booty (plastic necklaces, rings, eyepatch, plastic gems, my kids favorite was the finger trap), and have a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. Here is the link to the GF one on allearsnet:

Search Albatross cruise for the y&BC, same deal, don't know the days of the week though.

I would love to do this for ds when we go. But, he can be so shy that I don't think he'd go w/out us  plus the PBJ definitely puts it out of the picture. That is something he just refuses to eat. Oh well, maybe when he's a bit older.

DS also hates PB&J he just drank the drink and ate the snack which I think were cookies. He had a great time. I wasn't sure how he'd be going alone, but he was fine, just waved and hopped on the boat.

The Albatross cruise os on Wednesdays and Fridays.
