Could someone rank the WDW DVC resorts in terms of size for me?

To go along with my other post - could someone rank the DVC resorts by no of units for me? I've read that VWL, BCV and BWV are the smallest but couldn't find how they compare to each other.

Keep in mind that the availablity of lockoffs makes numbers a little skewed. I think they count BWVs as having no two bedrooms and a lot more studios than usually get booked. A resort with few lockoffs will have fewer potential rooms than one with a lot of lockoffs.

Along the lines of what Crisi mentioned, a majority of the units at Vero are Inn rooms. There are only 6 Beach Cottages/Grand Villas and 3 buildings with villas (1, 2 & studio).

In DVC terms, sure. But Disney certainly has much larger resorts on-site. Add the Yacht and Beach Club resort rooms to the Villas, and that complex is larger than SSR.

1/3 of the rooms proposed for SSR were a fairly recent addition to the overall development plan. We've yet to even see any details on how these rooms will be integrated into the current phases. Given that DVC has moved their sales center to SSR, I suspect they'll make some wise decisions regarding additional resort amenities. The last thing they need is for people's first glimpse of DVC to be an overcrowded main pool and a lackluster food court.

Thanks for putting that in perspective. SSR seemed large to me when I was on the opposite side of the water, looking at it from DTD. We walked around it a bit and I guess it seems even bigger as the buildings are spread around. I thought the grounds were beautiful and it's going to look even nicer as the trees and other landscaping grows in some.

Actually, when complete SSR will have almost the exact same percentage of total DVC rooms as OKW had before it was built.

Doing a little math on the simplified total room numbers, it seems that before SSR was built, OKW had 38% of the total DVC rooms.

After SSR is complete, it will have right at 37% of the total DVC rooms. OKW will drop down to 24% of total inventory.

So the effect of SSR on the DVC system should be fairly comparable to the OKW impact.
