Hello everyone,
I am looking for personal reviews on Emril's restaurant. I would like to know where it is located also. Thank you :earsgirl:

Hi,

Emeril has 2 restaurants at Universal Orlando. His namesake which is located at City Walk (just before you get to Islands of Adventure) and Tchoup Chop is located in the Royal Pacific Hotel. Both are fabulous and the service is impecable. Tchoup Chop is the newer of the two.

Are you planning on going? You will love it especially if you are a big Emeril fan, like me. :earboy2:

I've been lucky enough to dine at both of Emiril's restaurants at Universal. OUTSTANDING. Tchoup Tchoup I think is the most beautifully decorated restaurant I've ever dined in. It's food and design is Asian. His other restaurant at City Walk has the menu I much prefer......steak, etc..

We ate at Emeril's at City Walk and really enjoyed the food. FYI it is expensive but worth every bit of the money.

My parents ate here and my dad gave me this tip - even if there is a long wait, you can often find open seats at the bar kind of area in the middle. You end up basically sitting around the cooks and can watch them prepare the food, etc. He thought it was a better seat than waiting for a table....just a little bit of info that might help someone out.... :)

We had to go to Emeril's on City walk the last time we were at Universal- but we had the kids.... So we did lunch instead and it was FABULOUS!!! We have frequented many many fancy NYC restaurants- I went to many for business meetings(hey when I am not paying I can be a big spender!) and Emeril's ranks up there with the best of them. The service blew me away- and it was lunch!! Never felt rushed and the food was fantastic. Go Go Go if you have a chance. And if you want to save some $$ do the lunch there- it was really an extensive menu and plenty of food. And they took care of my children as well. Everyone was happy. Two thumbs up from us!
Wanted to add we saw Tyler Florence when we went to tchop tchop..I guess he was checking out the competition.

I have eaten at both of Emeril's in Orlando. they both are fabulous. Go to his web site & check out the menu's. As was said before Tchop Chop is just the most beautiful place. And I found it More causal then the Emeril's at citywalk.

I know this is not making your choice any easier but You can not go wrong with either.

We have been to the Emeril's at City Walk numerous times. It was really great all but the last time. However, the last time we went was when they were training the new staff for Tchop Chop, so we gave them a little leeway. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to make it back since. We really love the food and the maitre'd has an excellent memory. He remembers us by name every time we visit. Plus, we have always been able to meet and talk with the chef whenever we ask. We even had a tour of the kitchen once. They were outstanding!! Also, one note about the counter/bar area. If you sit there, be prepared to be watched. We sat there once and the chefs were always watching to see our reactions to everything and they kept giving us free appetizers to see what we thought. It was a blast! I'm sure you will enjoy this restaurant.

I would love to go, since I am a huge Emeril fan, but I am wondering if it would be appropriate for a 2.5 yr old....Any thoughts?

We have taken our pickey eater kids to Emerils twice and they are very accommodating to families since it's located next to Universal. They have a great kids menu with pizza and stuff like that. We loved it. Even got to meet Emeril himself, but the staff says that seeing him at one of his restaurants is extremly rare. He only shows up a few times a year.
Make reservations!!!
Hard to get a table by walking up.

Thank you so much for the excellent info. We will make it a must do on our Disney vacation in Oct. I can't wait !! Lunch sounds like a great idea as I will have my 6 year old with me. Thank you all :cool1:

Last time we stayed at Universal we went to Emeril's for dinner the first night, and Tchoup Chop for dinner the second night and for lunch the next day, it was that good!

Emeril's food has ingredients and flavour's that i've never experienced before, which is saying something as i've eaten out all over the world and am very very adventurous eater. Some of the combinations of flavours are amazing.

They are truely world class restaurants.
