Am I being too optomistic? There will be 8 of us going on this trip (6 adults and a 4 yo and 9yo). I've tried to schedule all the things that everyone wants to do, but is it too much? Any advice would be appreciated. Our trip is in November and tomorrow is my window to make ADR's. TIA

Lynn

Whew. :faint: Trying to make everyone happy is a chore! Any suggestions would be appreciated as this is our first trip. We are staying at ASMO.

What I really like about your itinerary is that you are restricting the number of early morning committments. That was my big mistake one year when our DS and DD were little--too many early morning character breakfasts!

some suggestions and IMO you will be heading for a wonderfully relaxing and exciting vacation at WDW: 1) trade out Alfredos for Biergarten--you'll get more food choices that kids like, a real "experience" and virtually no wait. 2) this is MAJOR: instead of the entire group trailing along throughout the day, use your dining choices as meeting places so that the group can split up and do things on their own. I think this is a MUST. You'll be able to get on attractions quicker in small groups, and won't have to drag everyone along for 1-2 individual's preference. The adults with the kids can trade off, but they should always think of the kids first.3) if your kids haven't experienced RainForest Cafe--do a meal there on Thursday when you are at DTD. It is really neat from a kids perspective. 4) finally, your last day. You have quite an aggressive schedule laid out, I'm not sure you'll be able to get much done at a Park unless your flight is very late in the day. Otherwise it's just rushing around packing, getting to the park, worrying that you'll be late for your airport ride, etc. My suggestion is to make some late nights at the parks throughout the week while you're there and the last day, relax around the resort, swim, do some last purchases at the gift shop, etc. Again, depends on how much time you have before you have to get to the airport. Have a wonderful time. You did a great job in planning :flower: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

I agree that you should plan on the group breaking up rather than all 8 people trying to do everything that everyone wants.

Also, perhaps plan your day off earlier in the week? Do 3 park days, then a break, then 2 park days. 2-3 park days in a row is about as much that we as adults were able to handle!

Does your 4yo do well with that many long days in a row? I know that you have breaks planned, but once you try to do everything that everyone wants to do, those breaks may disappear!

Thanks for the replies. I'm not expecting that everyone will move from one thing to the next. We'll be in the same park, split up and meet for our ADR's as I know some of us like rides and some don't etc. And not everyone may need to go back to the hotel for a break. I do understand that, but I wanted them scheduled in. More than likely a few of the days it would be just FIL and my son heading back for a nap while the rest of us go about our business. And our last day we are leaving later in the afternoon but I'll have 2 CS credits to use. Thanks for the tips!

sounds good...only 2 things seemed a bit much for me. The first night after Chef Mickey...you might want time to look at the stores there rather than traveling to DTD and then bed. DTD is really an evening in itself...maybe schedule that one night instead of returning to the parks. Also just remind yourself if that you're all tired....take a longer break in the afternoon. There's alot of walking and not much break time. Otherwise for me, it seems like a good plan! Have a blast! Del :sunny:

I liked your plan as well. IMHO I wouldn't take an entire day for Animal Kingdom,it is VERY hot, with little protection from the sun,ALOT of walking, basically,it was our least favorite park.I'd do a half a day. Also,we DID do DTD on our last night, and we LOVED it. I told our kids not to pick up souviners but to wait for our DTD night, and everything they wanted was there. We ate at Planet Hollywood, and we absolutly loved our night. Good luck on your trip. :wizard:
