I applied for the card back in Feb. and qualified for the 7/4 new cardholder, I never really thought any further than that - until now. How do you get reward points? How many points per $ spent? Does the amount charged have to be paid off before you can use the reward points (does that make since)? I am charging our trip, roughly $2500. (I plan to take advantage of 0% for 6 mo.) and we are putting an invisible fence (which we will immediately pay off). That's about $3500. what should I expect in points and what can I do with them? Will this be enough to buy anything? I hope what I'm asking makes since and I hope someone can help explain this. I need a crash course in "Disney Visa for Dummies"

I was wondering the same thing. I just got my first bill and it says I have 22 Disney Reward dollars. I know I have to notify them if I want them to be transferred to Rewards Card, which I am assuming I can then use. But where can they be redeemed? Will anywhere in WDW accept them, including restaurants? It would be like having $22 taken off a bill? This could be a really good thing! Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

You can order your rewards card online on the BankOne website once you accumlate 20 points. After that, you can transfer your points to your rewards card at any time in any increment.

From what I gather, the rewards points can be used at the Disney Store, Disney Theme parks (including restaurants...don't know about counter service though?) and can be used towards your hotel, passes, etc. I haven't used my card yet, but I assume it works like a debit card. You just hand them the card when you are ready to pay. If you owe more than you have in rewards points, you just pay the difference. If you don't spend as much as you have in rewards, you maintain a balance on your card. The points do expire, so keep an eye on your expiration date.

I think the rewards are based on 1% per $100 spent. (so roughly $1 per $100). I have always paid my account in full each month so I don't know about spending the points if there is a balance. I would assume you could spend them...after all, most people carry a balance so what good would the points be if you couldn't use them?? I do think they "freeze" your points if you make a late payment. This happened to me in error. They received my payment but didn't post it. I got my statement and it said that my points were frozen until payment was received. I called and straightened it out really fast!

Looks to me that you've earned $60 in rewards points. Congrats!:bounce:
