Could I ask for some gift certificate help please to send to US?

Hi,

Just popped over from the UK side and I'm after a bit of advice please.

My DB & SIL (who live in the US) have just moved and we'd like to send them some vouchers so that they can buy themselves a housewarming present. Obviously being in the UK I have no idea what shops they have access to.

They live in Georgia (Toccoa) and I know they need things for the home (blinds, curtains etc.) so I'd like to send them something they could use to buy things like that.

Does anyone have any advice / any websites I could use etc.

Home and Blinds... lets see.

I've gotten blinds from Lowe's and Home Depot.

These are large type home improvement stores. (I'm sure you have them)

I have also gotten some cute curtains from Target.

We don't have Target, Lowe's or Home Depot over here though.

We have purchased blinds from Smith and Noble (via mail order)

www.smithandnoble.com They are a bit pricey, but their customer service is top notch. We have a picture window with two narrow windows on either side that totals 99 inches across. The main blind we bought broke after 9 years and they replaced it at NO CHARGE. They also gave us a very DEEP discount on the two smaller blinds so that they would all be the same color.

If you go the gift card route, I know that you can order Home Depot gift cards online and have them shipped to your DB. I imagine the same can be said for Target and Lowe's, but I'd check their websites first.

If you go for a store specific GC, it might not hurt to check the websites and make sure there's a store nearby. I'm from GA and I know Toccoa is not a huge city. They might have to drive to get to a particular store, but one might be closer than another.
