Could I ask for P&PD for a serious problem in our extended family?

My cousin and her ex are going through a *very* nasty custody battle for their two daughters. The problem is that one of the daughters is special needs (I forget what specifically her condition is, but it's one of those where she probably won't ever mature beyond about 12 years) but currently not getting the attention she needs as a special needs girl, and the other is *very* sick with some either nasty virus or disease which, if treated, can be cured, but left untreated (which is what's happening now) will almost definitely kill her within 10 years. I don't remember how old the older one is, but the younger is I think 15 or thereabouts and in *serious* need of help. She's turning all the wrong ways, doing all the wrong things, hanging with the wrong crowd, and all of that on top of her disease.

It's a very, very messy situation, and one that makes me very sad.

I know the prayers of the DIS are a very powerful thing, so I'd like to ask for them for my cousin and her family, that the best solution be found, even if it's sending the kids to live with someone besides either parent.

Awww Rajah. I'm always saddened to read about children in situation like your cousins are in. I will definitely keep them in my prayers. As hard as it may be, if it's best that they live with someone other than their parents, then I hope it happens soon. At least until the divorce thing can get straightened out and the parents start focusing on the children.
