cough meds

what's your favorite cough medicine? i've tried soooo many over the past several months. right now i'm using delsym. anybody have much luck with anything else that's over the counter?
i'm so tired of coughing.

Jagermeister---seriously. It's the only thing that would work for me when I had a HORRIBLE cough.

Vicks Vapor Rub! A little on the stinky side, but works like a charm with no side effects.

Depends what kind of cough you have...allergic? productive? dry?

Nyquil. Stops the cough and puts you to sleep.

Have you seen a doctor? OTC cough meds are only meant to be used for a few days. If you have been coughing for more than a few days then you need to see a doctor to find out why. Pneumonia, asthma, bronchotitis and many other illnesses could be causing your cough and using OTC meds is not enough. Even if your cough is nothing serious, a Dr. can prescribe something stronger than can help you out.

Agree--If you are coughing for several months--need to treat the cause of the cough--not just the cough.

Vicks vapor rub is the bomb-IMO. I put it on my chest, and on my feet w/ socks. Works wonders I also have been known to take a nip of whatever liquor I have around. Helps alot!
