God forgive me, I'm just sick to death of hearing DH cough. And I know full well how that makes me look. The sound of this cough is just grating on my last nerve. I can't help it and there is no one in real life that I can say that to.
Poor guy, he can't help it. I've treated him with comfort foods, hot tea, prescription cough meds, and his regular inhalers and prednisone. His pulmonologist and infectious disease doctors have tried to figure out what's going on, but DH just sounds worse and worse. At this point, DH is waking us both at night with all the coughing. Thankfully, he doesn't have a fever and his oxygen levels are good so it's not really an emergency, just an aggravation.
Thursday he goes in for a bronchoscopy, and I cannot wait! This will be the 2nd bronch this year. (He had one in Nov, right before he went into full-blown pneumonia and was sick all winter long.) I'm hoping that they will be able to figure out what's going on in his lungs so we can start treating it properly and we can all get some sleep!
