I grew up in the 60s and 70s and cotton sundresses were readily available. I'm all growed up but I still want to wear a cool summer dress, simple, flowing, wide straps.

Anyone remember Fresh Produce cotton beach dresses?

They're all so short now!

Happy to research any stores you know of who carry cute summer 'midi' cotton dresses!

Yes, I do sew! That particular pattern would accent my 'girls' a bit too much but I love the idea of sewing some dresses!!

I was just at TJ Maxx and Marshalls and picked up 2 cute sundresses for my daughter and my son's girlfriend. I wanted one for myself but they didn't have my size :)

oh, just saw your post above about your 'girls' the dresses I bought are made for A or smaller....lol

Try Vermont Country Store.

They carry muumuus and other denim, cotton and knit dresses similar to those on the pattern envelope.

They are expensive but typically very well made and durable.

Also, their designs are suitable for actual women, not fashion models.

I finally found sleeveless, knee length knit summer dresses at Burkes outlets last weekend and bought 4. All for $13 each. I can wear them to my casual office.

I looked and looked these last 2 summers and couldn't find any decent dresses for 50 year old.

I swear that they were stuck in cargo containers somewhere.

Amazon has a lot of really nice summer dresses, im a fan of maxi so i usually get those, but i see midi ones too. In person I have good luck at ross dress for less

I just ordered two Old Navy summer dresses and one from Vermont Country store...and!! One super cute Emerson Fry dress. I had never heard of this brand. So four summer dresses on the way!

You're going to laugh, but WalMart, especially if you like simple knit tank dresses (the kind that will accommodate a regular bra underneath.) I was in my local store yesterday and saw quite a few on clearance. They also can be used as nightgowns.

Unfortunately, I think that's the problem many women have with most sundresses.
That’s the problem I have with A LOT of dresses and some tops too. Stop with the scoop neck line already. I have several tops and dresses that I can only wear with a cami worn backwards underneath. I think there needs to be a line of tops designed for full coverage for big “girls.”
