Cots at value resort?

We can save over $200 by having 5 in one room instead of 2 seperate rooms, but I'm just wondering if any of the value rooms have a complimentary cot/bed of some sort that we could use because my brother won't sleep in the same bed as my mom, and he definately wont sleep with my husband and I, lol.

You can ask your resort if they can provide a rollaway bed for your room....they may not and it could be tight to walk around in the room.

Also consider you sleep w/mom and son sleep w/dad. If that won't work, consider bringing a small air mattress for him...you can prop up against a wall at non-sleeping times!

Is your son going to be in a crib/pack-n-play? If so, then I don't think you will have enough room to put a cot or a rollaway bed in the room along with the crib. I also read on another website that they don't allow rollaway beds at most of the Disney resorts.

My understanding was that cots cost $15 per day, and they won't/don't guarantee you one, even with a request put in ahead of time.

I'd check out what Alligator Bayou at POR would run you- they have trundle beds......it's be worth the little bit of extra $ to me to let eveyone get a decent night's sleep...

The values are really tight quarters and I doubt that they would fit a cot. And 3 in a bed would be really uncomfortable. The beds are only doubles- not queens.

I have had a cot in the values before - I think it was 15.95 a day once they added in the tax. We just asked for it when we checked in and it was brought right up.

Sure its tight but it is doable.

The only moderate to allow 5 is Port Orleans Riverside and then they want one of the guests to be a younger kid like a 9 year old but you can tell them you have a small 12 year old. The trundle bed is only good for a 5 or 6 year old but you can fit an air mattress instead for the larger 5th person.

We had a cot in a room at ASSp last trip (2007). my parents and brother were in a king room, so they had a cot. We had an connecting room with them with 2 doubles in it and ended up with the cot in our room. It fit fine, but would probably not if there was a pack and play in there too.

That is simply not true - I have had a cot in All stars as recently as March. The age is under 3 for the 5th person and the OP's signature shows her child as age 2.

We'd probably not have a pack and play. Our 2yr old likes to sleep in our bed at home, so will probably do the same, even in a small double bed, lol.

Maybe we'd be best off with 2 rooms anyhow though, just for the space factor (not sure we'd be getting along at the end of the trip after being in such close quarters together, lol)

Does anyone have any suggestions for a value resort? Which has the best pool, lol, our 2 yr old LOVE to play in the water!

I personally love POP but I haven't been to the other resorts. We have two little kids and they love all the amenities at POP.

You can make a value work if you need to. We have stayed deluxe to value and had a blast at all. This fall we hope to make a trip with DH, DS 17 Dniece 22 (more like a DD) DGS (under 3) and myself. DH will loose his job mid-july and the only way to go would be budget. We will take a air matress for DS and just lay it on the bed during the day. We really will spend little time in the room and we really do like pop so we will make it work. AFter this year DGS will be 3 so that will not be option.

You will be SO glad you did! The rooms are tiny, but quite a bargain. Two rooms is often cheaper than one at some of the other places on property. Two bathrooms, two tv's and a door in between...priceless! With two rooms you will have plenty of space. Yes, they do have roll aways for a charge. We've used them lots of times in our two rooms because my boys don't sleep well together and neither do my husband and I in a double bed.

Actually one room at POR would be cheaper than 2 rooms at a Value resort. But I do agree that having 2 rooms and 2 of everything is a nice thing.

We too have 5 people, with the littlest being 3. We decided to do 2 value rooms so we would have 2 bathrooms. We leave in 2 weeks and the rooms were $68 apiece at Pop Century. One room at Port Orleans was $124, just $12 cheaper than 2 rooms at Pop. PO charges an extra $15 a night when you have more than 2 adults in a room like we would. We have been to PO 2 times and Pop 2 times, so this was just a toss up!
