I usually get a crib for my son and put it next to our bed in the Villas....our other 2 kids share the pull out......Our son is almost 2 and getting quite big for the crib....could we request a cot instead of a crib (with some bedrails, of course) for next to our bed...or is there some prohibition against this....Somewhere in the back of my mind I thought this is a DVC no-no, or maybe it applies to the regular resort rooms????? Thanx for the input!

DVC will not provide a cot.

I don't get that ...what is the reasoning behind it....I could see if the child was over a certain age, say three or four....then they want you to bump your stay up to a 2 BR or something, but if they will give you a crib....then why not the cot????

I don't know what their reasoning is. We were very happy that our DGD, 2 1/2 last October decided that the small pack and play was just right for her. I know that I've read that there are off site places that rent thing suitable for small children.

you can bring an aerobed.
the "real" ones take literally seconds to inflate & deflate, & very sturdy. if he did "fall off" it would only be the few inches to the floor (maybe lay blankets & towels alongside, just in case).
btw, we put ours in its own duffle, then into a rolling carry-on suitcase with a set of sheets & pillowcase, & checked it for our flights.

As stated DVC will not provide a cot or roll-away bed. Your other alternative may be a one bedroom villa at AKV, as they will have a sleeper chair in addition to the sleeper sofa.

Other than that, you will need to supply you own air mattress or sleeping bag. DVC will not provide additional bed linens or towels.

Because DVC occupancy is a hot topic, such discussions are limited to this thread only: DVC Occupancy

Thanks
