Hi
I can't believe its almost time. After all these months of planning.. we are finally on our way. AND... the kids still don't have a clue
Anyone, I was curious, do you pack your costumes in your checked in luggage or carry-on.
in the past, we packed them in the checked, but this yr we have MNSSHP and we just got them. Plus.. my daughers Belle dress was a bit pricey.
I also hope she is not too hot in it. its the red dress (gown, long sleeves)
so I'm thinking of carrying it on w me.
what have you done or will do
Valerie

I actually put the costumes in my carry on bag - it's pretty big, and I roll up the costumes, so it works out OK. If something ever happened to my checked bags, at least I know that I will still have the girls cinderella dresses for CRT!!!

The CM in our local Disney store told me that the dresses come to them just rolled up and then when you hang them up they will "pouff" back out. We have several and it never seems to matter if I hang them up or the girls "wad" them up in the bottom of their closets. They always seem to look the same. But you might want to carry them on in your bag. It would be awful if they got lost. Have Fun!!!

I have been lucky so far putting them in ziplocs, then putting the ziplocs together in a spacebag in my luggage. The crowns (and accessories for the one she will wear to MNSSHP) travel in bubble wrap in my carryon. I usually take a semi filled LARGE lightweight duffel for my carryon, but we are flying on Song instead of Jetblue this year. The bag size/weight limits are more stringent at Song. I will probably take the Pooh carpetbag I ordered from Disney Direct, if it is not too big. Then, I will put all the smaller carry on organizer bags into it (and all of our ids, tickets, etc).

We arrive in Orlando on Thursday and being unfamiliar with DME I plan to pack our costumes in our carry-on. I would hate to have to leave for MNSSHP and our luggage has not made it to the hotel yet. ::MinnieMo

I plan on checking ours. About the temp., I was wondering the same thing about my youngest DD's dalmation costume. We've gone in Oct. in the past though and been kinda chilly in jackets at night so I think they'll be alright. I got my oldest DD the Jasmine costume with sleeves b/c I knew she would be complaining about being cold if I got the sleevless one. HTH

we are checking ours....too many and too big to carry on....

I'm going to put ours in our checked bags because we are going to MNSSHP three days after we arrive so we should be fine. And since we arrive at night, I need to put jammies and toiletries in our carry on bag.

By the way, I just picked up a Cinderella costume for $9.99 at Party City. They also had Tink, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty for that price as well. I might go back and pick some up for cheap dress-up outfits. My daughter is hard on them so I'm finding it hard to pay $20 or $30 for a good dress.
