Costs - am I kidding myself?

Thankyou again to everybody for there help! I hate being such a novice when it comes to all this,i mean I have been to disney around 20x most with parents and now 5 times with my own family so I'm a Disney nut and proud it's just been so gutting to see price increases over the last few years as I'm only 26 Im still not that good at budgeting hoping it comes along soon lol hubby is inthe RAF so we manage to save on living costs as we live on a base. And we rent our own place out so it gives us the bit we need for holidays, I'm trying to figure out wether we book the hotel etc now for end of September and pay that offmonthly with the tickets DDp etc and save to get the flights in one go! Or I wait till I can pay the flights ( we need 3 adult 3 child) so quite a bulk of cash I have half saved and then book the hotel?? And pay that off till we go anybody have experience with what the best way is also Xmas is coming and the 3 boys are still if farther Xmas age and asked for a nintendo DS each which we will get them (god why did that egg split into twins) would the chance of getting a good rate with the OKW with free dining go if not booked prompt? Sorry again for 101 questions just need my Disney fix after a horrid yr!!

The current Disney offers end 15th Nov. You have until then to book.
Going on past years they will probably extend the offer until March but no-one knows, they could change the offer, possibly remove the $150 gift card but if sales are slow they could increase the offer and add more to tempt people.
I like to book flights 1st as the cost can vary quite a lot by flying different days but last year we booked the room 1st, I than rang up to add another night onto the original 20 nights I had booked after I booked the flights, no fees just the extra nights cost (they charge a fee if you are lowering the cost)

Hey Tinkerpea - like you, I'm 26 and a bit of an Orlando nut - although for me, it's more about Universal, the food and the sunshine rather than Disney itself. I've never stayed onsite at Disney World (but have done it in Disneyland Paris - whole different ball game!) so my experience is somewhat different from yours.

For us, it's all about booking the flight - there are hundreds of hotels but none of them are any use to you if you can't get there. Even if you book last minute, you can still get good hotel deals - flights, not so much. So I'd book the flight first, worry about the hotel later. This is from my experience though, and we don't book anything until we have 110% of the holiday costs saved - simply because we book everything non-refundable so we can't find out later on that we don't have enough for food or tickets or whatever.
