In case anyone else wanted to know.....

The Costco deal...I figured it seemed to be the best since I'm going back in December and probably will check out Universal again.

It says on the ticket:

"This ticket is valid for both Universal and Islands for the length of this ticket.

Valid any 3 days until 12/31/2013

3day + PTP Exp 12/31/13 - Access to both parks per day-CW Incl"

PTP is park to park, but no idea what CW means?

On the front, a guest first & last name is required, along with signature and photo ID. A counter-signature is required on each visit. Must be used by same person on all days.

This cost a total of $139.99, so I thought it was a good deal, considering a 1 day, park to park ticket at AAA was $115.

However, not all Costcos have it. I had to go to 2 different Costco. The first one said they don't have tickets at all, looked it up in their computer and said another Costco had it. After I questioned them and asked them to check, of course.

I went to the second Costco, only to be told they don't have any and the first store was supposed to call them. Then I was getting annoyed, then suddenly they had 3, then they had a whole bunch. geesh. I only needed 1!

Hope it helps someone else! :goodvibes

my dad had picked those tickets up for dh and i for our trip 2 weeks ago....
it was fantastic! we had only planned on going to ioa for one day, but with these we were able to go back to wwohp 3 times and go do the simpsons ride....the last time we went in '08 the costco deal also included wet and wild...but the one this time doesn't....

I don't have a Costco near me. My niece has one right down the street. Can she get passes for my family? Or does it need to be that at least one person in the party is the member. (silly to become a member when there isn't a Costco in NH)

I would think as long as the person buying is a Costco member, they wouldn't care who actually uses the passes.

she can pick them up for you....my dad bought ours, granted we are costco members, but they don't ask to see any membership when you get to the park....so any costco member can buy them for anyone

Just n FYI...used my ticket.

I stood online for a million years cause I thought they needed to check ID, counter sign...all that official stuff.

Nope.

Just take it, go to the turnstile and send it through. I counter-signed for it there. No probs.

I wonder if all Costco's have them? I live in Northern Illinois and I actually just got a membership today, maybe I'll take a ride over to check it out!:thumbsup2

Apparently not all Costcos have them.

Mine came from Manassas, VA.

I would have gotten mine there as well, if I hadn't stumbled upon Mapleleaf's great $129/14 day deal (It's gone now). I think it is mostly East Coast Costcos that have them.

We will be there in 3 weeks & 2 days. Leaving Manassas behind for a few days will be nice, although I love the fall here.

I don't live in Manassas, my parents do - they bought the ticket. I'm up by DC. There's a Costco in Fairfax, don't know if they also have the tickets.

We bought Costco tickets for US/IOA in Atlanta. We only had to sign them on the first use. After that, we just cruised through the turnstile. We went to both parks on all 3 days. :thumbsup2

I have a (possibly dumb) question. Does Costco charge tax on the tickets?

Not a dumb question at all. I was wondering that myself & if I didn't hear, I was planning on going over to Costco to check it out. Evidently they do have them here at our Costco, according to the wonderful people on this board. Thanks for beating me to the questioning. :thumbsup2

Our Connecticutt Costco didn't charge tax on the tickets. I was pleasantly surprised!:woohoo:

Is this right? You signed your ticket before you used it. Went staight to the turnstile, scanned your ticket and then counter signed. You didn't have to go to the ticket counter or show you ID? I bought tickets at Costco that I'll be using in Dec and I'm kind of anal about knowing what I need to do beforehand. TIA.

I never signed it at all until I got to the turnstile.

I thought I was supposed to get online at the ticket counter, but no, they told me just to go straight to the turnstiles and sign it there. No I showing whatsoever. :confused3

Just go straight o the turnstiles and the people there have pens for you to counter-sign there.

This is the same process as the Kroger tickets (no longer available).
