Costco Travel Question

Hello,

Hoping someone can help me, if I book the Costco Travel 5 for 3 night package, what additional money will I have to pay when I get there? Is the room tax etc included or will I pay that separate?

Well...we did pay for lanyards and lanyard pouches, as we didn't like the ones we got with the Costco Travel package (you get vouchers and turn them in at certain stores for the items and a pin).

And we upgraded our tickets to APs.

But the room tax and the Resort Fees are totally included!

I dont want to assume (that always gets me in trouble ), if I book through Costco, I will owe NOTHING upon check in/out. My room, park tickets, taxes and resort fees are all included in the package price?

I've booked 3x's so far with costco travel. And there is no additional charges to your vacation package. The price in your reservation confirmation is your final cost of the trip.

There are no additional charges. I handed them my hotel voucher on the first day and on the last day they said that everything was taken care of and to have a safe trip home. I would def book with Costco again.

Is there a special deal out there booking through costco? I browsed a little for it but couldn't find anything cheaper than what it would cost to buy hoppers and book a hotel on my own. Can I ask what kind of deal you all got???

Lori, many times, depending on when you're going, how many, how long, and what you way, it's better to just buy hotel and tickets separately.

But sometimes people get a better deal with a package. Or sometimes people just *want* a package. After booking our package deal I did more research, and since we were planning on upgrading to APs anyway, I realized I could do better financially just booking the AP rate at the time we were going, and buying the APs on our own. However, I didn't do it. I wanted the experience of the package. Not as good for our wallet, but it gave us a good experience, and it lets me help people here.

If you want a package anyway, and you're comparing the packages between Disney (WDTC), AAA, and Costco, Costco does give the small giftcard and the character breakfast certificates...b/c of the giftcard, it ends up being about the same cost as the other packages plus the cost of the meal, and the giftcard is "free".

We booked the 5 for 3 deal through Costco. It would have been the EXACT same price booking directly through the Disney website or the Costco website. Like a PP said, you get a $20 gc AND vouchers for your party for PREMIUM character dining, which for us was a $120 benefit. These were part of the Costco package and not an extra expense. It made sense to book it through Costco since we were getting more for the same amount of money.

When you book through Costco, all you are doing is entering the Disney Travel Company website through the Costco portal. I still did it myself.

For us, booking tickets and room separately wasn't any cheaper. When you price out room and tickets separately and not as a package, the initial number doesn't include tax. The total you get for a package is for the whole thing - taxes and everything.

However we read on the fine print its for a "family of 4 to include 3 adults and 1 child"... We will need 2 adults, 2 children since our oldest is under age 11. Will that make a difference at all?

Its good to know that taxes/fees are already included! I always hated paying that after the vacation!

Have any Canadians ever booked through the US Costco travel site? I'm just wondering if there are any rules against this? Costco Canada doesn't have any ticket packages listed on their travel site but the US Costco has a good package I was hoping to take advantage of.

Hmmm.... I don't see the same fine print. What I see says premium character dining, one voucher per person, per package. The fine print ** only defines what premium means. What part are you reading? Regardless, you are asking for less than what you are reading, which usually works out fine.

I already have booked and have my invoice. It says Premium Character Dining, 1 per person, then lists all four of us. Our kids will be 7 and 3 when we travel, too, and it was no problem.

I booked through the US Costco site. Worked perfectly and there was no problem--I told them I was Canadian and they said as long as I was a Costco member then it wasn't a problem. We're staying at the Hyatt for 6 nights...went through Costco because of character dining bonus--saves our family over $100 which works for me!

my costco membership is not currently active. I go with either my mom or sis. Could I use either of their membership cards/number to book my ressie or does the name on the ressie need to match the name on the costco membership?
If need be I will reactivate my costco membership, just trying to get away with as less steps as necissary
