Costco Travel - Cannot get through

I’m confused by the costco cancellation form - it states “credit” on the form. For those of you who have completed the cancellation form - are you getting a refund? I’m looking for a refund not a credit for a future cruise. Thanks all!

When was your cruise? I believe there were different forms depending on your sail date. When I submitted my form through Costco there were no options but I’m guessing because my sail date wasn’t until end of August so I would automatically get my full deposit back. I received confirmation of the cancellation quickly but have yet to see the credit back to my credit card. It’ll only be a week from tomorrow since I received the confirmation so I don’t expect the refund for bit yet-unfortunately.
 
Thanks for the reply. Cruise in September. I actually have 3 planned that I’m going to cancel until this dies down. I want refunds not credits at this time. I tried with the nearest cruise first and will see what happens. I feel for costco as this is a lot of volume but they aren’t very clear on how this process is working.

Hmm, mine had the choice of cruise credit or refund. I chose refund and got an email confirming that from Costco. Several days later, I got an email from DCL saying that they issued me a cruise credit. I am going to wail til next week (hoping refund comes through) and then I'll have to call Costco.

I never had a choice plus I have never received anything from DCL. The only reason I even know it’s canceled is from the Costco email and the fact that my cruise has disappeared from my countdown timer on their app.
 

It’s because your cruise is so far out. Mine is 4/6 and the form gave me the choice. I think you will have to call unfortunately.
 
I did use the form and I got a reply a little while ago that the cruise was cancelled. I can see my deposit amount with a negative sign. I’m just going to have to assume it is being refunded to the card. My cruise is further out and wasn’t past the PIF date so I’m guessing they are just processing refunds and moving along. The bigger question would be those past the PIF date as those are larger credits and not necessarily “refund” eligible until disney makes further decisions.
 
Cancelled our 4.16 trip and got our refund within 24 hours, minus the flights which become a future credit.

However, does anyone know if you can book "flights only"? Frustrated because we want to take advantage of the current rebook/free dining offer, which Costco doesn't have advertised and is a better deal than what they do, but don't want to lose the $450 in flight credits. If anyone has any experience rebooking through them with flights please chime in!

I don't have any direct experience unfortunately, but from hearing the Costco holding music/message over and over again for 4 hours straight, one thing I did learn is that "You can add a flight to any of our travel packages, but we do not offer flight only bookings", lol. I'm guessing you can't just book a flight unless there is some Covid19 related exception.

Haha, yeah this was back in March when everyone was trying to cancel. Hopefully it's a lot better now. But you never know, it might be worth giving Costco a call and seeing what your options are. There are lots of exceptions to normal policies these days.
