Hi, I just noticed on my booking there is Costco Shore Excursions at a discount. Even a 3 port package. Has anyone used this before? Would love some reviews. Thank you for any guidance and please delete my post is Costco is not allowed here.

Looking at Best of Cozumel, Falmouth, and Grand Cayman Value Package. Which includes Cozumel Sail and Snorkel, Falmouth Dunns River Falls and River Tubing, and Stingray City and One Snorkel Stop for $239.

"As a reminder, we invite you to visit the website of our independent shore excursions supplier, Shore Excursions Group LLC.

Pre-booking your shore excursions can save you time and money. When you're ready to purchase a shore excursion, enter your itinerary information and begin shopping. Should you require assistance, Shore Excursions experts are available at 1-866-350-1879, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Eastern Time.

At the time of booking, please provide your Costco Travel coupon code: COSTSHRX to receive your Costco member discount."

Interesting.

Thanks for the info. First time I heard of a Costco excursion package.

I tried to find comparable excursions on DCL to make a comparison.

Location ................... Excursion ...................... DCL Estimated Cost ............. Costco Estimated Cost

Cozumel .............. Sail and Snorkel ........................ $70.00 ................................. $70.00

Grand Cayman .. Sting Ray City and Snorkel ............. $60.00 .................................. $70.00

Falmouth ............. DRF and Tubing .......................... $90.00 .................................. $100.00

.................................................................... Total $220.00 ......................... Total $239.00

Difficult to compare directly as I don't see direct identical excursions. But, ...

Not sure of the value here. Unless of course you are not included in the DCL excursion cattle call and 1 hour early meet time. Which of course could make the Costco excursions priceless.

And what are the kid prices? What is the age break down for the kid prices?

ETA; (google rocks)
Adult ....... $239
Kids 4-11 .... 206
Kids 0 -3 ..... free

We will continue to book privately regardless.

fwiw;
Costco; Save $16.00

DCL excursion; https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/port-adventures/caribbean/list/grand-cayman-cayman-islands/

I would just double check their policy for if the ship is unable to dock. Disney automatically refunds. Would Costco or would you have to fight them?

FYI, when you add the coupon code that is listed by the OP, you get a 10% discount, so the total is $215.10.

Thanks...this is a great comparison! Very interesting. I don't see a significant price difference (until there are 30 of us and $20 adds up fast) but the meeting an hour before etc is a good point.

I am looking for reviews specifically about this company because I have a group of 30 and they can book just my large group for us with even more of a discount. Ever since our first cruise, I book private tours too. Cattle call = no thank you. But with 30 of us I guess that is kind of a cattle call but at least we all love each other. :) I'm just curious mainly if anyone has used this company. Looks like not many even knew about it...

When I look online it shows a couple reviews but it looks like they are just a middle man.

One other advantage *might* be booking as early as you like. Availability. I have no idea if DCL sells out or not though.

If those excursions meet the needs of your group I would most definitely consider using them. We don't have any experience with them but...
all of these excursions look like fun to me. And with the size of your group, you probably will be "private" so you can go at your groups pace vs the slowest member of the excursion.

  • I have not sailed at Cozumel - but I do enjoy the sailing and snorkeling we have done throughout the Caribbean
  • Dunn's River Falls - just did this last week - one of the funnest excursions we have participated in. We did not do the river tubbing or rafts, but did the Bobsleds on Mystic Mountain.
  • And Stingray City in Grand Cayman is a fun excursion.

Thanks! We've done Cozumel 10 times over because it's a 2 hour flight but haven't done the other ports. The falls look fun - would you advise kids wait at the bottom? Mine are 8.

Glad that you shared this! We've been decided on our excursion for a while now. We were going to book the Atlantis Shallow Dolphin Interaction & Discover Atlantis. I just went to compare prices between the two and Disney has removed it from this list of available excursions. :headache: I would have rather booked through Disney, but now I guess we'll have to go with an outside company.

Do you think it's full or they ditched it? I would also look at the Atlantis website and see if they offer their own excursion. Many resorts do this. IDK about Atlantis though.

I guess they must have ditched it. It isn't listed on their excursion list at all anymore. I wasn't checking for specific dates yet. They still offer the shallow interaction paired with the Aquaventure, but I can't justify paying that kind of money for that little amount of time. I just checked and I can book the dolphin interaction directly through Atlantis. We'll just have to figure out our own transportation now.

in our group there were brothers that were 9 and 11 (might have been 7 and 9). they made it ok (no meat on those kids bones and they got a little chilled by the end - but had huge smiles the whole time.) everyone holds hands, and one of the boys was between his dad and i. i don't feel like they couldn't do it. both of us helped them up some of the bigger steps.

i really dont think there is a waiting area. there is a dry path for those that dont want to get wet - but where's the fun in that?!! there were a few people that chose not to. i understand the couple of older ladies with some minor mobility issues, but the others really missed out on an experience. and dunn river falls is a gated attraction.

Thanks for posting this!! I had no idea that Costco offered this service but I do love shopping with them. Their customer service has not let me down yet!
