costco package tickets and magic bands

I purchased a Costco Package that includes tickets, I have received my ticket confirmation number from Costco to link the tickets MDE. I also have magic bands linked to MDE - will those tickets automatically be linked to the magic bands? Or do I need to physically pick up the tickets from the guest relations and have them link them to my magic bands.

Everything in MDE link up automatically. The magic band is only used to ‘read’/access your tickets that are stored on MDE, they don’t hold your tickets. That’s why you can use multiple MBs during a trip as long as they are not manually deactivated.

Think of MDE as a locked chest that holds your tickets, ADRs, LLs, etc. Your MB is just the key that opens that chest and pulls out what you need at that moment. For example, when you’re entering a park, it pulls out your park ticket, and when you’re entering a LL, it pulls out the LL reservation you made for that ride. So as long as your tickets are linked to MDE, any MB that’s shown as Active in that MDE account will pull up the correct ticket when tapping into the park.
