I'm thinking of booking our trip through costco and this was on their website:

Five nights in a Standard Room at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort or a participating Disneyland® Resort Good Neighbor hotel
Five-day Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® souvenir ticket* includes Magic Morning** into Fantasyland, in Disneyland® Park
Preferred seating at selected attractions in Disney’s California Adventure® Park

What does "preferred seating at selected attractions in Disney's California Adventure Park" mean?

What does "preferred seating at selected attractions in Disney's California Adventure Park" mean?

It essentially means that you and everyone else who has those voucher/tickets get a chance to be seated prior to the general public waiting to be seated.
We are doing the Costco package this year due to the character meal and the gift card. The prices for hotel and tickets were the same as elsewhere.

Is this for Aladin or whatever theater production they have or what selected attractions are they talking about?

One of the shows was Aladdin, but I do not remember what the others were. You can call them and they should have a list of the shows. Usually 4 of them. They were tearoffs on a card(1 for each member of the booked party.)

Just got our Costco package today. The "Preferred Seating" shows are Alladin, Muppet Vision 3D, Tough to be a Bug and Animation Academy.

They have preferred seating for Muppets and Tough to be a bug? Is that like front row or something? because usually the best seats in the house are in the middle and I thought anyone can sit there.

And I have never seen Muppets busy enough to even get close to filling up the theater. It is always pretty empty when we've been there. I love the middle seats!

When we used ours for Aladdin a couple weeks ago, it meant that we got to go in before everyone else and choose our seats first...and our line we stood in outside had more shade than the regular line did...lol- It does not mean you can show up at showtime and walk right in though- you nee tocheck in 30 minutes before, and get in line to get in...

It looks like Costco isn't cheaper, it's actually more expensive for when we are going and where we want to stay so we'll probably just book it ourselves.

Sometimes it works out that way, this is the first time we have booked a package in a long time. But could not beat the price for August anywhere.
