Costco just started a new package promo

I just looked into this deal. I'm not sure if it will work. Here is my situation. We are going to DL twice this holiday season.

Nov. 18-21. Haven't booked hotel yet but want to stay at GCH. Kids and I have AP's and DH already has a 3 day parkhopper that I purchased before prices went up.

Dec. 21-26. Staying at DLH. We got a senior rate because we're going with the grandparents. Our AP's won't be good because of blockout dates, except for my son, who has a premium AP.

If I book the costco deal, can I get the parkhoppers and use them in December?

Can the premium character meal voucher be used for a regular character meal?

Is the $20 GC per person, or one per party?

Thanks!

Update:

I booked 3 nights at the GCH for $2018 with 4 day hoppers. I got confirmation that I can use the hoppers in December. I just checked the website and same dates is now showing a price of $2400.

I made the reservation for 4 since only 4 of us will need the hoppers in Dec. My son has a premium AP. There was no way to get his name on the reservation because I didn't need tix for him. I tried to do it over the phone but that price was $2300. I know the room accomodates 5 but I want to make sure we have one of those rooms. Can I call the hotel and request a bunk bed/day bed room? I also want to make sure he gets a hotel key so that he has access to MM. Will this work?

Yahoo!! That's the way I got the online price quote on mine, too, since I have an AP. When I called, the price they gave me over the phone was only $4 more so I didn't quibble about that.

I would call Disney reservations directly, give them your reservation number and tell them that you are adding a 5th person and would like to make sure your request for a larger room is noted. They will put his name on the room reservation for you. As you probably know, they won't guarantee anything and it's always possible you will get the pad with sleeping bag option. We had that once and it really worked fine for us--much better than the bunk beds. I certainly prefer beds, though! Just thought I'd mention the bunk bed rooms are small! If you pull out the trundle, there is no room to walk around the beds :upsidedow and the bunks are very small (not standard twin).

I would have done the same as you but I needed/wanted the 5th adult character meal, though for $300 I would certainly sacrifice it! I'm not even a big fan of character meals but I'm all for freebies :woohoo:

Did you book a standard room? Ask for a room close to the elevators/lobby. Those rooms are bigger (and much more convenient!!).

I"m confused....if it's a Half Marathon promotion, why aren't the dates around the time of the Half Marathon (i.e. January 29th?). Or am I missing something? :confused3

Thanks for the tips. I did book a standard room. We've always gotten lucky and have been by the elevators/lobby but I will request it. I don't care if we get the sleeping bag. My son loves sleeping in a sleeping bag.

I didn't mind so much not getting the 5th character meal. My son is only 9 so he'll still qualify for the child's price.

Thanks for sharing this! I have been looking for a good deal for my boyfriend and I to stay at the GCH for our 1 year anniversary. Going to check out this deal now. :goodvibes
