costco deluxe ap question

has anyone purchased their deluxe aps thru costco? i understand there is a $50 disney g/c. are there restrictions on the g/c? and is there an expiration date to the ap? like if i buy it and save it for a christmas gift for someone, would that be ok? or do i need to activate it by a certain date? thanx!!

I got mine for christmas and used it a couple weeks ago.

There is a expiration on the AP, you must use it by May 31st.

In California there is a law that Gift Cards can not expire. As for restrictions on use I don't believe there are besides the fact you can only use them were GC's are accepted. You are actually issued a standard GC at the ticket window when you redeem your AP.

Had no problems... Bought eariler in the week, used it Sunday morning. Had no problem. I even used the gift cards to pay for the parking pass for the year and then used what was left for lunch for my daughter and I. Still have a bit remaining for our next visit.

Yes you have to activate the AP by May 31st sorry!

As for the GC you get it when you activate the AP, not before. Again because of California law no gift card can have an expiration date (why Disney changed up the Birthday GC rules), so if you activate the AP on May 31st you can use th GC when ever you want too.

How much is the AP through costco?
I haven't been able to find just the tickets through costco, they seam to send me to the website to book the hotel and everything.

Yes, your voucher must be redeemed by May 31st. You get your gift card when you get your AP, it will not expire. The passes were the same price at Costco as they are at the gate but at the gate you do not get the $50 gift card. We used our gift cards to upgrade to Premium APs......that was nice.
