Noticed the Costco price on the SoCal parkhoppers has increased to $239 when we went to Costco this weekend. Didn't see a post about it yet. I believe it still includes the $50 gift card but forgot to stop and look at the fine print regarding expiration and upgrade value.

I saw that as well. They are also listed as $239 on their website...Good thing I bought mine a month ago for our trip this week :)

Do the newly priced Costco hoppers expire after August 31? The $199 ones did, so maybe these have a later expiration?

I went to look for these online, and there isn't a current link to any product. It says that the item is no longer available.

I was going to say the same thing. I looked at the Costco website just now and there is no availability on the parkhoppers.

That's no deal at all. I just bought 4 day hoppers for $188.82 from GAT. They matched the price I found on LMT.
And that's for everyone, not just SoCal.

hmmm...I didn't notice that earlier...it does say that they are backordered and will ship in 1 week. This is the details on the tickets once they become available:

Ages: 3 and up
Use all 4 visits by October 19, 2011
Ticket is blocked out on 8/21/11 - 8/22/11
4 days of admission to both Disneyland® Park and Disney’s California Adventure® Park, including visits to both Parks on the same day
$50 Disney Gift Card
Available for Southern California Residents residing in Zip codes 90000-93599. Proof of residency required upon admission
Must be used by the same person on any and all days
Offer cannot be combined with any other ticket discounts or promotions
Limit of 8 tickets may be purchased per Costco member, per day restrictions apply

I'm also wondering about gat & lmt. I am looking to buy tickets for my family that lived down in that area as cheap as I can and then for myself who lives in WA so will probably just get mine on line.

Yes, this no longer a good deal. It does generally have a long fuse to allow multiple visits to be spread out over a year or so which is why it might appeal to locals. I'm guessing the price increase does extend the expiration date, but I forgot to take a look. I'll check it out the next time I go to Costco if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

Curious why you price-matched and didn't just buy at LMT.

I've just heard great things about Getawaytoday and their customer service. Also, I like the idea that I don't have to wait for a voucher for my tickets. I just show ID at any ticket window at DL and they give me my tickets. :thumbsup2

P.s. to Memoriesinthemaking,
Thanks for answering about the abbreviations. I was on the road all day yesterday

With LMT you print a voucher and take that to the window. So can you explain more why showing ID is better than a voucher?

Really considering buying and would like to choose the best place..thanks.

Ok, well, I was going to go with Costco - I hadn't looked into it much and was going to go into Costco on Saturday and buy one for my trip Sunday. Guess it wasn't that easy or even good for us NorCal people....or even available anymore. Sooooo...... I will check GAT and pray that works. I cannot buy the ticket till Friday or Saturday so I am looking for the best deal with the quickest handover on a ticket. Thanks for heads up!

Mrs. Pinup, the Costco tickets are not sold in Northern California Costcos, but you can find them online. We found some for sale in the Garden Grove Costco, but I'd feel safer having them in hand before I head down to Southern California.
