Yes, we did the costa rica trip in 2016. My DD and another girl in the group had nut allergies. The guides were great and everyone was aware. There were a few desserts here and there that she skipped because they weren't sure. Everything was great until our farewell dinner. We had to fill out menu selections prior to the meal and stated that she wanted the brownie if it didn't have nuts otherwise just ice cream. The brownie came out and I asked if it had nuts and they said no. Well the brownie itself didn't but a piece of white chocolate as garnish atop the brownie was sprinkled with pistachio dust. I looked it after i got mine and grabbed her (she is allergic to peanuts, pistachios, and cashews). Luckily, she hadn't eaten any yet, but I think the other girl had. The hotel was very apologetic and gave us complimentary spa services before we left for home the next morning. I don't blame Disney at all but like anything else you just still have to be diligent.
