Costa Rica ABD - how much extra money should be bring?

My husband and I are doing the Costa Rica ABD. For those of you who have been on this adventure, how much extra money did you bring? I know we need money for gratuities, but was not sure where else we would need it.

Also, if you did the ziplining, were you able to get GoPro cams to use during the ziplining? If I am going to do this, I want to be able to record it

We did Costa Rica last April and LOVED it - and the ziplining was definitely the highlight for all of us! We didn't use a GoPro, but one of the kids in our group did. Assuming they haven't changed their policy, it should be fine. As far as extra money, I am having a hard time remembering spending much money at all out of pocket. I believe our first night dinner was out of pocket, and maybe one lunch, but I think that was it. There were several nights that we had pre-dinner drinks, so that was on us. And there are a few opportunities for souvenir shopping, if you are into that. Almost everywhere you could use a credit card, so the need for additional cash is very small. Have a blast!!
