We loved th Chauccoben ruins. we did them last december. we booe dthrough
DCL, but have heard great praises for david and ivans tours.
I think 7 to 10 years of age would probably like this tour. It is about anhor ride to and from. going to the ruins our guide gave us a lot of information about mayan history and she brought along several items to pass around for us to see, so the drive went quickly. There is a small gift shop and a few chips and ice cream to buy after your tour. You do need to be able to climb up a few steps that are actually part of a temple which is still burried. Most of what you see is on the other side of this temple. They are large stone steps and a little tricky to navigate. An awesome tour!!!
There are restrooms there, but I would advise taking your own T. eat covers and t-paper with you. I had to use my own hand sanitizer too, no soap and kind of dirty, be prepared for a lady standing in there wanting tips even though it wasnt that clean, no soap, no toilet paper etc... I didnt give a tip!!
Maybe w egot there at a busy time.
As we got back on the bus to return they gave us all a bottle of water. I took my own too, you will need it on the tour, plus take bug spray!!! and sun block You will need this. we got back to the port around 5 and we had to be on the ship by 5:30. So we had a quick a shopping trip around the port.
Our tour left at noon, so you could shop before the tour too.
I highly recommend this tour!!!
