What is the cost of the sodas in the machines at the resorts by the ice machines? What size bottles? What sort of payment is required (coins, paper money, debit/credit card0?
We always laugh at the prices because they are so much. I think the size is 22 oz or something like that? We are able to drive so take our own but if I needed/wanted soft drinks, I'd look at getting a refillable mug and just use those places. I think you'd come out ahead very nicely. You can also look a grocery delivery places. Buying the stuff out of the machines, in my opinion, is a waste of money.

I work in a retail store in Canada and I buy US coin when it shows up - no exchange that way. Not to mention, we enjoy grape Fanta in Disney World. Its our treat. Other than that we make the most out of our refillable mugs because $3.50 is brutal for one bottle of soda pop

I am also from Canada and a friend was responsible for empting the money from the landaury room in her apartment and sold me the coin at par but now they are using cards so no more at par coin.
In December it was still $3.50 for a 20 ounce bottle. After all the bad days we had, I finally broke down and spent the money to buy a Mr. Pibb. I'm a Dr. Pepper junkie that was getting my caffeine fix from regular old Coca-Cola and couldn't take it anymore. It may have been expensive but it was an excellent way to drown my Disney disappointments.

Make sure if you get a refillable mug it is actually convenient for you to go get it refilled. I made that mistake at CBR--After being in the parks all day a 20 minute hike round trip for a pop, which would be gone by the time I got back to my room, was too much. I ended up buying out of the machine at our building.
