We are debating taking our stroller or renting one. If we drive our car, we will have to rent one because there won't be room for our stuff & the stroller. If we take our truck, we can take ours. But does anyone know how much it costs to rent one at Disney? And when you rent one, can it be for a few days, or do you have to rent one each day you need it? TIA!

We rented a single stroller at the end of january for 6 days. Sunday thru friday for approx 45 dollars. Definetly worth the money in my opinion. It was large enough for our 2 and half year old plus we could hang our bag over the 'handle' and plus we could put stuff on top of it.
It pushed very easily, and despite the crowds we never ran into anyone!
We asked the first day we were there to rent it for the entire stay. and they give you the receipt with tags so every day you bypass the line to rent one and go right to the end to pick up the stroller and they stamp it. In january there was no line to pick up the stroller. We hung something on the 'handle' so we could recognize our stroller from the other hundered strollers that were also there. Remember ALL the strollers look the same. But I thought definelty worth it. Not very comfy to have the little one sleep in because of the design but she was able to rest at least a little.

I know we rented one for the length of stay and it was pretty expensive--but totally worth it. We brought a cheapie umbrella stroller for our then 3 year old and would do a switch once we got to the park. You just show them your receipt and they swap your stroller for a park one. They give you a card to display on the stroller with your name on it. We rented a double stroller and loved putting our backpack on or in it. My then DD6 would often jump in with her brother while DD9 huffed because she wanted a ride!

The strollers are really easy to push much more so than the umbrella stroller. Disney makes it really easy to use everywhere. For instance, if you want to hop on the train in Toontown and travel to Frontierland, just take out your card and hop on. As soon as you get to FL, pick up a stroller and put your card in. It is super convenient. I loved all the strollers but the MGM ones. They weren't as easy to push and manipulate.

We loved them and will most likely rent one again in August. As for the cosst, we just chalk it up to being part of our vacation costs!

Singles are $10/day, doubles are $18/day. If you pay in advandce for multiple days, you get an automatic $2/day discount. As someone else mentioned, paying in advance for multiple days also makes it quicker on subsequent days to pick up your stroller.

You'll need to tell them how many days you'll want to rent strollers. There's no such thing as a "length of stay" rental, and the CMs at the stroller rental places don't know how long you're staying -- they don't need to know, and they don't care.

The strollers are available only in the 4 theme parks, you can't get them outside of there and you can't take them outside of there.

Yep. I suppose I wasn't clear enough, I meant Disney makes it really easy once in the parks. The example I was giving was in the Magic Kingdom...and I meant our length of stay. The CMs may not care how long you are staying--but they're very helpful and the whole operation is like a well-oiled machine.

I think the stroller rental is set up quite well and would recommend it! You will get to the point that you are quite efficient at getting your stroller and being on your way!

Thanks everyone!! I guess we are driving our truck, so we're gonna take our own. But thanks for all the info!

question... so we can bring our umbrella stroller and rent one.. and they will hold ours till we bring it back right?

It is true that the CM's don't know how long you are staying but the $2 per day discount is called the LENGTH OF YOUR STAY discount on the little paper the CM has at the counter. Or at least it was when we went. And I loved being able to pick up a stroller at any park, any day.

To make your stroller easy to identify, hang something on the handle (not something valuable).
