Cost of light-up spinner toys?

I know my 2.5yo DS will desperately want one of those light-up spinning toys that they sell at night for parades/fireworks. We followed some advice to bring one from home so we went to the nearby Disney Store Outlet. They only had 2 options, Iron Man or Sleeping Beauty. :sad2: My son isn't into either of them.

So I figure I'll just buy one for him in the park. How much do they cost? And does anyone know what kind of batteries they take? We'll be there for 11 days so I can almost guarantee he'll wear it out. Thanks for the help!:thanks:

I can't recall exactly but I don't think they were more than $20 - Just checked the DisneyStore website and I couldn't find them but I did find the cooling fan ($17) and the Light up Mickey Magic Wand (which synchronizes lights to the shows) ($25) so I'd put it squarely somewhere between those two. (Maybe a buck or two more than the fan...)

Pretty sure the Death Star one I bought was like 9 bucks after my pass holder discount.

We bought 2 while we were there in May. The red Minnie spinning one was about $10, and one of the other ones was about $8. I know if they had been more than $10-$12, I would not have bought them, so they are somewhere in that price range. A lot cheaper than I was expecting.

My daughter has a Buzz that lights up and has things that spin when you squeeze his legs together. I believe it was around $12. Be aware that the carts they push before the parade on Main St. only take cash. We were sitting there waiting for the parade to start when she saw Buzz on the cart. When I went to buy it, cash only. She was super disappointed, but we went over to one of the shops in Tomorrowland after the parade and bought it there.

Edited to add: The Buzz takes 2AA batteries and they are a pain in the butt to change! Luckily they last a long time lol.

Don't remember the cost, but cash only yes. And they do last, we still have ones from trips in 2011. Maybe the kids are changing the batteries and I don't know?? Have a Mickey, r2d2 and tinker bell. Although of the 3 last years light up ghost lanyards, only one still lights, just shelled out $$$ for the watch type batteries they need.

Wish we could buy those ahead of time. Considering that wand though as this year we are giving our kids the news of our trip at Christmas (we are going at Easter), so thought the wands would be a good present to open up!

They now have these really cool light up bubble blower things that your son may want, our 7 yr old really wanted one
(It was only $12). We got it for him and since he basically held the button down continually he ran out of bubbles within an hour. They do sell refills but he was content to just have it glow from that point forward. Both of our boys also got the Glow with the Show wands ($25) to control my Minnie Ears and they also are in sync with Fantasmic and Wishes. The batteries are AA. My point it that they have a ton of great light up toys that are relatively inexpensive and keep them occupied for hours :)
