Does anyone know how much it costs to take a cab from the Beach Club to MK? Are cabs easy to find at the BC?

To save money, we are thinking of taking Tiffany to and from WDW rather than renting a car. The only thing that makes me hesitate is that I have heard that the bus service from BC to MK is a problem. I thought that we might be able to take a cab to MK in the morning before Epcot opers, and the monorail back to Epcot in the afternoon to bypass the problem. What do you all think? Thanks! ::MinnieMo

When we were looking at taking a cab from the Boardwalk to the Poly to return after park closing time, the CM at guest services in the Poly told me it would be between $10 and $15. MIL decided she didnt want to go, so I can't confirm that, but that's the info I got.

Just to let you know, the cab would drop you off at the Transportation & Ticket Center. From there, you'd have to take the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom. To get back via Epcot, would require two monorails, and a lot of walking.

The bus would be quicker, and easier. From what I've heard from other guests I've talked to, bus service around property has gotten a lot better recently.

From the BC to the Contemporary or the GF is around $16, plus tip. If traffic is heavy it will be more.

What you can do to avoid the TTC is take a cab to the Contemporary and walk to the MK, or take the cab to the GF and board the monorail for the MK.

Either way, taking the Disney bus is a better option IMHO.

BW to CR was $11 plus tip last time we took a cab. I would say Ducklite has it pegged for $16 from BC.
(The walk from CR to MK is not that bad, maybe 300-400 yds.)
If possible, take the bus.

I would also go with the bus. But we have also found in comparing rates, the town car rate for our family of four is only slightly cheaper or the same than renting. Especially if you are adding tips and cab fares. That is for an economy class. Rarely use it once at WDW, but nice to have it if we need it.
